This. Every celebration has turned into a cash grab. I'm happy for my friends' milestones but jfc how many gift registers and big expenses in a row a person can bear? And if you never get married or don't have kids, forget ever being celebrated or supported in return. large chance of even getting so much as a thank you text either.

After a bunch of ex-friends for whom I've forced my ever tightening budget, I'm fresh out of ducks to give. I'd rather not be invited.
The trend near me is to have a big party in a pub (no money behind the bar, everyone buys their own drinks), invite the entire village regardless of whether people know them are not, and then someone volunteers to do a collection to get some gifts. They usually end up collecting well over a grand for 'gifts'. I'm sure they don't spend anything for the party either, so it's pure profit.

The smell of bleach and outdoor dried clothes 🤢
It must be because of city living for me but mine always smell like dust after drying them outside. After a particularly bird-crappy laundry mishap last summer, I just gave up 😂 At least inside I don't have to inspect the pillow cases for bug and critters before putting them away.

I HATE the smell of bleach, it is awful. Outdoor dried clothes, on the other hand, I LOVE.
You are literally the only person I’ve ever seen that hates bleach too! Thank god I’m normal 😆 I can only put it down the toilet and if I get it on my hands it makes me bork.

That’s another problem with drying outside, our spiders are all on steroids too

I have never heard of anyone loving the smell of bleach wtf 🤣 it's a handy cleaning product but surely you need to have some sort of ocd/addiction to actually enjoy the smell of it? It's a strong chemical, breathing it in isn't good for us.

I don't like outdoor dried clothes tho, the smell is nice but everything around it sucks. Don't want bird tit on my stuff, insects or pollen. Also i hate hanging up washing so i can't imagine having to deal with running to get it when it's raining then messing about hanging it out again.

Quite a lot of cleaning influencers and travellers swoon over the bleach thing, they say it just smells “clean” and some wash their dishes in it. I can’t imagine anything worse!

Bleach for me just smells like a hospital or something, it's not like it's a fresh nice clean linen smell. I've never heard or anyone liking it either 😂

I quite like it, but I'm a lazy bugger, so it can't be down to ocd! Reminds me of the smell of chlorine when you go swimming! 👃

I think it was my algorithm for a bit where I saw people loving the smell then when you read the comments of people loving it you feel even more weird! Think mine started as a child, my mam bleached the worktops and I made toast, put it straight on the worktop to butter and ate from there and the steam transferred the smell to the toast! And cleaning men’s pub toilets for years as well where we’d just fling a whole bottle all over the floor and up the walls.

I hate the smell of outdoor dried clothes!! Everyone calls me because I use the tumble drier all year round but they smell and don't feel as nice if dried in the wind, with the bugs and stuff! I don't know if it's because we live on a farm but even the kids sometimes come inside and they smell like outdoors so have to strip in the bootroom and get a shower 😂🙈 glad I'm not alone!!

I don't think it's the bleach smell itself i.e. chlorine, but exposure to bleach while cleaning seems to have this airway clearing effect that makes breathing in feel fresher and more intense for a few minutes after using the bleach. Yeah that'll be the bleach stripping layers off your lungs, guys. :ROFLMAO:

Washing dishes in bleach is just deranged and very dangerous.

I hope this isn’t too forward but I think I love you 😆 seriously though I’ve been made to feel like I’m weird and dirty for hating the smell of bleach for a long time

I hate the feel of towels when they've been outside. Everything else is lovely but why dos it feel like pressing sandpaper to your nipples it's the most horrible feeling in the world

People who use their windshield wiper fluid while driving on the freeway. Every car behind them ends up getting sprayed.

Rhinestone license plate frames and/or sparkly pendants hanging from rear view mirrors. When they catch the light they’re blinding for the person behind them.

Those "rental apartment hack" videos on YouTube where they do peel-and-stick linoleum, peel-and-stick wallpaper, etc.

1. Why would you spend your own time and money doing that?
2. It's gross and unhygienic to do that in bathrooms and kitchens. Moisture also gets trapped.
3. It's disrespectful to the property owners. A lot of the peel-and-stick stuff also damages what's underneath it.
