I still think it's sad yet hilarious that what scared him most about his first trip to Japan wasn't his lack of knowledge of the language or the transport system but that there might not be any food he could eat. Thankfully for Shawn there are many Maccies in Japan.

It's interesting that he's so adventurous on one hand, happily driving around the US when he'd only just passed his test as an example, yet the idea of adding ketchup to a hotdog is an absolute no.

I don't wish vloggers are banned, I mean I like watching these videos because I'm probably not going to afford to get to go again so I enjoy them.
However they could be less entitled and shut up when on the rides.

It is not cheap but it is an absolutely amazing experience, particularly if you are a ride geek. I've never stayed in a hotel where a coaster runs literally just outside your bedroom door. I absolutely loved staying at Charles Lindbergh. I've never seen anything like the theming of the wee cabins either, they were great fun to stay in. For once, I agree with Shawn's off the scale enthusiasm. I'll be interested to see what he thinks of Ling Bau. I thought it was OK but nothing particularly special, I'm in no hurry to stay there again, unlike Charles Lindbergh which was just WOW!

I was also wondering if Charlotte gets some of the money from the TPW channel? I assume so if she is responsible for all of the admin?

I went deep down the rabbit hole today after randomly googling to see how old Charlotte is. Apparently she gets no money at all from the channel and has to pay her own way if she wants to go along with him on the trips he makes. No idea if it’s true but someone posted on a forum that knows them and said Shawn is very tight with money, even with his own girlfriend.

Watching this with interest as we are planning a trip to Singapore next year. Really annoying when they can't do on-ride footage, not even on a rapids ffs. You lose so much. Even Disney, the most risk averse company on earth, allow on-ride filming.

Interesting I just found this chain. I met these 2 in Florida at magic kingdom a couple of years ago and they were so incredibly rude. Charlotte was so full of herself and was very rude to my other half. We walked away in shock almost. I was very sad how they wouldn’t even say more than ‘hello’ back with an attitude. Was very awkward. I do still watch the channel. But I was very sad how rude they were when they always seemed so nice

I find the way he talks to her is like how someone talks to a child. The one video they did not long ago where she’s dancing around and he talks like people do when they’re pretending to admire a little kid. Very strange. I didn’t even know they were together for ages, they don’t come across at all as if they are in a relationship. She seems like a nice enough person in her videos but there’s something very off about them. Can’t really put my finger on it.

Yay glad I found this thread! I have been watching them for years. As a woman in my late 30s I have kept it secret from my family, they are my guilty pleasure! We have done lots of theme parks on the back of Shawn's recommendations, my husband just thinks I am great at finding these places!

Imagine going to Asia, the area of the world with such great food to try and….. McDonalds. I knew this would happen. Most people who go to these parts of the worlds are massive foodies, food for me is such a big part of travelling, trying local foods etx

But surely that's the whole point. Food is a big part of travelling for you. It clearly isn't for Shawn and Charlotte. Just like some people love beach holidays and I'd rather have root canal treatment. We're all different. Yes they're missing out on the food part of the experience but I just don't think they're bothered about food. Some people are like that. It's purely fuel to keep them going, they have no real interest in eating.
