The British guy in season one was just the weirdest thing. He basically didn’t exist! Bizarre given that he was gone pretty late into the game. I’m not sure I buy the whole ‘he spent the whole time talking about production’. surely a stern talking to would have sorted that out? I think there is more to it.

Couldn’t stand Fi they are all coming back to me now. I need to rewatch it as I watched series 1 months ago. Currently knee deep in Aus series 2… oh my frick !!!! Desperate to talk about it but can’t go in the thread yet.

I liked Nigel, Craig and Midy and felt bad for Craig at first but don’t anymore as I can’t see how he fell for Alex’s Oscar winning performances each time

I’ve just finished the whole series.

I was so bloody distracted by Paul though, or the lack of him! It must have been episode 4 or 5 I first spotted him and I actually blurted out loud (I’m in my own) ‘who the fuck are you’ . then I was just really conscious of whether he would appear or not and I can’t believe he made it so close to the end but barely got mentioned! Even when the other players were discussing before each banishment, they didn’t show them talking about him either. it’s so, so bizarre.

I couldn’t google it either because I didn’t want to risk other spoilers. I was convinced there was going to be some huge story about why he was edited out.

It goes to show actually just what they can do with editing. They pretty much edited a whole player out who made it to episode 10 and it didn’t even seem that clunky.

The strangest thing I’ve seen on a tv show like this.

Anyway I thought this season was fantastic for game play on both sides, traitors and faithful. Some very intelligent people. I love how Nigel and Marielle recruited someone and then she quickly turned on them both! Marielle said all along Kate was a danger to her and she was right.

So I've just finished

Alex played a blinder, I really thought Marielle was going to win. I was surprised she didn't make it too the final, she must be fuming Alex won.
Craig broke my heart in that final.
I bloody loved Mark & was gutted he didn't go further.

Agree who the feck was Paul!

Teresa I grew to love dearly!

I had to laugh when Fee was hysterically crying when she thought Terese had been killed
I think this is my favourite series so far.

My favourite season as well hands down!! loved it so much!!

I felt the same about Mark and also would have liked to see Midy go further.

Imo they made such a mistake picking Alex and she took advantage of that perfectly.

& finally Teresa was hilarious! + the marielle take down when her and Kate overlooked their suspicions and worked together was just brilliant.

I find that hilarious because I think he’s camper than Alan Cumming and that’s saying something.

I’m still on episode 10, so I will attempt some random musings without spoiling anything.
I LOVE Mark. He is such a clever guy.
Marielle was too cocky by half from the get go.
Teresa gets on my bloody wick.
Who is Paul? I swear he didn’t appear until halfway through.

Some of the challenges are so much better than the UK version.

Dirk said Paul spent most of the time talking about filming and production, which may have been why he was cut out. So bizarre though the way they don’t even show him voting most of the time!

Remember when they were in the car coming back from somewhere and Marielle and Alex cornered Craig and said they would guarantee he wouldn't be murdered if they stuck with them and he just nodded? What an absolute dimwit! I think he deserved it all as he was off the scale gullible. Plus, the winner doesn't take anything from someone, just stops them from gaining.

I don't think Craig played well at all and I don't think he deserved to win for his gameplay, but like with Mollie, I found it devastating to watch. I just don't find it enjoyable to watch someone be completely sucker punched like that, despite the fact it's literally the name of the game and great television drama. As I say, I obviously need to find a 'softer' show where people are rewarded for being 'good people' (whatever that means!) rather than good players!

Having seen Mollie and Harry, it made it almost unbearable to watch Craig and Alex, knowing what was coming. The joy, the triumph...and then the shock, the betrayal and the light dying in the eyes. Maybe I need to watch a show called The Lovely People or something instead!

Alex was a great winner and I'm sure that getting through all those weeks, getting to the final and winning the money must feel so incredible that it must be hard to control your emotions at the end. But when you've betrayed someone big time like that, it's the smugness and sense of rubbing it in that really gets people's backs up and makes you less likeable, even if you played a great game.

Poor Craig. I think they all assumed that Matt was so bumbling he couldn’t help but banish himself.
At the end I thought Lewis was going to suss the Traitors. He really played down how smart he was and flew under the radar for ages - even when the others were gunning for him he managed to pull it around. He seems to have got the most timely shield in Traitor history.

Lewis was definitely going to rumble them. Also how did they not notice how Alex smirked each time a traitor went out, she was so obvious!

That’s such a good point! I also heard he kept trying to get people to swear on their families lives that they weren’t traitors super weird- I genuinely thought he was a member of the crew they’d accidentally left in a few scenes for the longest time.

I agree. Also did the contestants have professional make up artists!! Some of them were very glam.

I spent way more time than necessary wondering exactly how early Fi had to get up to have enough time to clag so much make-up onto her face.

That said, her meltdown when she thought Teresa had been murdered was utterly exquisite

Alex's crying in the final was just soooo OTT ... come on Craig how did you not see through it? He made a big song and dance that he went with his head to get Nigel out, but for some reason couldn't do the same with Alex?
