I thought I was the only one who changed the bedding to lighter colours. Currently rocking a soft grey set but considering the green gingham set from M&S.
Well that makes me one too I've only just gotten into high quality bedding and the improved sleep and comfort has been beneficial to my mental health and wellbeing.

Growing up I always had a flat sheet but now i only use them in the summer. I have to be covered at night otherwise I have weird dreams where I have suddenly decided to walk naked down the High St
Temperatures are reaching mid 20s next week for many places in the UK
Having said that, and I hate to be that person(!) but we could really do with some decent rain here too. I'm in Yorkshire and I can't remember the last time we've had a decent spell of rain. The ground is already cracking up because it's so dry. I live near moorlands too and there's already been some significant fires up there. We aren't even in summer yet

I live near there now and it hasn’t really rained since we moved. I’m not complaining atm because we were surrounded by trees and nothing dried where we lived before.
The air feels more spring - like. I think spring is a feeling, rather than a temperature. It's only 9 or 10 degrees here and it doesn't feel like it does in the winter months at that temperature.
Thought I'd venture out to the garden centre with the weather forecast to be cooler as the garden centre is usually freezing.
Wrong!!!! They'd turned off the air conditioning so I had to go rest and rehydrate in the cafe in case I passed out. Saw a gorgeous plant but it was £63. Looked like a load of pom poms. Here it is:
It's a viburnum opulus roseum and there's something about the RHS on the label.
Sadly I can't get one as it seems to grow 12 foot and it's 12 foot wide.
I've got some seedlings on the go, some peas, tomatoes, basil and chillies. All indoors at the moment but I'll be moving the peas to the greenhouse soon. I'm going to get some beans and lettuce going as well but will probably plant them straight into the greenhouse and cross my fingers that it stays warm enough!
I love hearing all the birds in my local park and it's lovely to hear different ones, and identify them using the Merlin bird app I'm learning to identify their different calls. Recent walks in rhe slightly better weather has really improved my mood.
I’m sorting out the garden tomorrow, I’ve been putting it off for ages and I want somewhere lovely to sit in the nice weather, so going to mow and strim, get all the weeds out and wash and repaint the bench
I also need to work out how to replant some grass where the dogs have dug but make sure it’s safe for them in the process so need to do some research.
I think I am going to buy a couple of plants for my planter too, I might try lavender or something calming for the dogs. 🪻
I’ve got the week off work and it’s so nice having the time to do these things, the sun just gives me energy too
