This is really sad. It reads like she expected him to fit into her adult life and she thinks he's "wild" for not doing so. No toddler could live up to that expectation and, crucially, no good parent would drag their three-year-old child halfway across the world and think they could ignore that child's needs all weekend, like she wanted to.
That's exactly how I read it. She makes out she's being a good mother by taking him on all these trips, but at that age they need stability and routine.
Did she even run it? Why was she there and why did she take her 3 year old for a weekend on a transatlantic flight?
Of course not, just went there to cheer and stay in the Westin hotel.

Agree, I thought it was "wild" she thought a trip to a big city to watch yet another race would be a toddler friendly activity. What did she do with him when she was "on duty"? I thought she did the Westin shakeout etc
Obviously we only see what she puts out there but comes across that she struggles with expectations over reality for parenthood. Only going to get tougher with a second, she going to drag a baby and toddler on her influencer gigs?

She’ll be well surprised once he is school and they can’t go on impromptu jollies! My daughter starts secondary next year and I am already thinking to reduce my running / racing schedule as it will be a big change and I want to be fully present to help her transition and support her and not go bye bye every weekend. Not that I do this at present but two marathons a year do take a toll on family life especially when working full time too..! I really can’t relate to her and her woes ..
I'm sure that won't stop her, she'll just rope in relatives to look after them.
Personally, we took our kids out of school every year to go on holidays and trips. Our school didn't care but I know some schools are very strict.
Can someone show me a toddler who does fit into a day of adult activities?! What was she expecting exactly?
She's such a selfish witch and shouldn't be having another as she can't cope as it is. What she's doing isn't even work and if he doesn't fit in then why not cancel your points jolly across the pond to wave some crappy yellow pom poms in the air and pretend you enjoy cheering people on
Or how about can’t afford it, like most people?! Especially seeing as she’s just about to get another baby and have a year off her job, plus she’s moved house… she has no idea what it’s like for normal people!

It's also hugely insulting to those of us who needed maternity leave to recover from the really difficult pregnancies and birth. My maternity leave was about recovering from serious tears (first child) and a life-threatening condition and emergency c section (for my second). She's spent the last nine months gallivanting round the world racing and will likely be doing the same throughout her adoption leave, as she's paying another woman to do the hard work for her. Like I've said before, I have a lot of sympathy that Charlie can't carry a child but her repeated complaints about not getting maternity leave are grating.
