I used to live in Spain, and do you know what I find really baffling about this "Vanlife"? The fact they have the freedom to drive all over Spain and visit amazing historical sites, old Spanish towns and villages, taste authentic Spanish food, and really get a sense of real Spanish living. Not to mention they could educate their children on Spanish history.
But no, the Minghams spend their days showing everyone swimming pools at resorts, towels on bushes, the Benidorm strip and a few beaches, and eating curries and pies.

I’m so sorry for this post, but I am feeling a little bit sorry for myself tonight. 2 days ago, my husband and I came downstairs and found our beloved black lab (Maisie - hence my username) had passed away in her sleep.
She was 15 years old, and lived a long, and I hope wonderful life with us, and whilst we were expecting this day would come, given her age, it has left us completely devastated.
She was our entire whole world. The Inghams bought Prinny on a whim, for the views, as an accessory, and it breaks my heart.
In all the time we had Maisie, we forfeited (Willingly) time away, or cutting events short because she was so important to us, a member of our little family.
Prinny deserves so much more. As much as I dislike Jane and Steve I think that they offer a better home than the Inghams ever can. For consistency sake at least.
Please give your furbabies an extra big cuddle

Long time lurker and I’m not one to comment on things usually. However due to my child protection background I feel obliged to make a comment on the ‘tapping clip’.
Firstly I personally wouldn’t warrant what the child was doing as ‘kicking’ - I would say this was repetitive light tapping with their feet but that’s just a personal opinion.
Secondly, the sheer speed at which the parent’s arm moves, in my professional opinion would be classed as a slap, not a tap, and also indicates lack of control in their response to a situation. In terms of child protection, this is a cause for concern as it indicates stress in the parent and unwarranted responses. As noted by others, this could escalate in a more stressful situation.
In terms of the UK law, I wouldn’t say this would meet threshold for being an illegal action but with regards to safeguarding this clip absolutely demonstrates cause for concern and if witnessed by a professional would likely result in a safeguarding referral. Upon further exploration, if nothing additional is found then it would likely result in the parent receiving support and guidance around appropriate responses to behaviour. This is not just to address risk to the child but also to offer support to the parent. In addition it is teaching the child that this is an appropriate response.
Attitudes towards discipline have definitely changed in recent years and I certainly wasn’t raised in this way however I just wanted to note where I think safeguarding would stand on this action in the current climate.

Mila - I just want to scoop her up and put her in a comfortable (SAFE) warm cot to be able to sleep peacefully and to also buy her a bundle of clothes that aren’t newborn sizes and actually let her breath and move!
Jace - i want to give him a proper bath, cut his nails, take him to the hairdressers/barbers and get him enrolled in nursery/preschool, and again buy him clothes that are for his age and fit him
Esmé - I would just love to get her back into secondary education and buy her a decent pair of well fitted shoes.
Isla - I just want to enrol back into education, get her back into swimming lessons and dance/gymnastics groups and let her speak to me till her hearts content without being interrupted every 2 seconds. And get her a dentist appt for her poor mouth.
isabelle - again really, get her back into school (although timing wise I fear it’s now too late) so maybe an decent college? And get her a pamper spa day to get her hair done properly. And let her have her own privacy!!
Oh and just to spite Esmé, I’d also buy her a cat

Lack of a safe, warm space for Mila and clothes that fit her. Jace being clean, socialised and properly clothed. Esme being educated and having a pair of shoes that fit her. Isla being educated, socialising with peers, her views acknowledged by her parents and receiving dental treatment. Isabelle having an appropriate education and privacy.
Abuse is not just the stereotypical physical abuse. Neglect in terms of appropriate clothing, education, socialisation, medical/dental needs etc. also comes into play. Add in the fact these children are being exposed/used for online content to thousands of people.
It's not just about a tap/slap inadvertently caught on camera.

Wouldn't pay €35 for a pitch with electricity so they are camped on the street in salou in the lashing rain - nowhere to put up the awning, no toilet or shower facilities and they are staying for 3 nights?
