Chatting to a guy on tinder and we agreed to meet so added each other on WhatsApp. I didn’t text him back because I just couldn’t bothered tonight to be honest. I accidentally opened WhatsApp and he sent me some random meme two minutes later. Stalker vibes 😫

Maybe he meant it figuratively? Like he was sleep walking through his life and decided becoming a skydiving instructor was his thing? Or he was in a cult for a little? I wonder what’s the story 🤣

You’re reminding me of my own language partner. He was from China. It was before the internet and news became what it is today, so I had to take his word on everything … there was an enormous cultural barrier 😐 My mind was *boggled.* Their diet and education system was so foreign. He told me his girlfriend stopped wanting to see him so he made a thousand origami cranes for her. I thought it was excessive and creepy behavior so there was a slow fade (ghosting wasn’t invented yet!)
A few years later I learned that people make paper cranes in bulk in order to make wishes 🥺🥺🥺 He’s so cute lol. I wish I could go back in time and tell myself to lean into the experience.

ETA: I absolutely signed up to the program in order to meet cute guys. He was not it, but it would be cool if I had a friend in China to visit. His hometown specialized in silk manufacturing. I still have the silk scarf he brought back for me after winter break…. The color scheme is yellow, orange, and green. If anyone knows that there is any special meaning behind this combination I am all ears 😂
Sadly, I actually don't think he was lying, he did say it was because of a car wreck and that he kept having seizures after coming out of it, but he swiftly changed the subject that HE brought up, and I was afraid to ask more because it's definitely... delicate.

Bullet point 5 on his list makes me gag
Wait, his location is tagged as 'savage wisdom" oh gross!!! has he taken a leaf out of Alfie Deyes' book??

Where would you put it. Your phone is covered in bacteria at all times anyway, probably most full of bacteria thing anyone owns
:unsure:i wonder if Mamacita puts her phone on the floor. I think maybe she does.
😉

This is food related and gave me the ick even pre covid. People that double dip or lick a spoon and put it back in the ‘share’ food. For example a pudding or some some pasta. You can’t lick the fucking spoon then put it back in the food.
No.
Just no.
Yup, this is so wrong, but if you say something, they say I haven't got Aids or anything so why are making such a big deal about it.

I've thought of a few more.

One long visible nostril hair - when it's just poking out on one nostril, like a single solitary spider leg

Men explaining film plots to me. Yes, I understood Inception, just because I didn't like it doesn't mean I lacked the intellectual calibre to understand the plot and I need it explaining to me. One ex actually used to *quiz* me on what I thought the meaning was of films when they finished (always poncy pseudo profound indie-but-not-actually-indie, actually mainstream films with magical pixie dream girls like Garden State or something) and correct me if he thought I had got it wrong. I'm amazed my ovaries didn't jump out of my body.

Men who pointedly let me know that they are vegetarians, usually as I am ordering some slab of dead animal or a massive meat pie with horns sticking out, a la Desperate Dan. Actually men who are vegetarians / climate activist eco swot types / purse lips at my recycling bins. I'm sorry, I'm just a terrible person. I know that means they are better than me. It just sets off primaeval lizard brain ick in me. Like if he can't bring himself to eat a bit of steak, how on earth is he meant to look after me and club sabre tooth tigers trying to get into the cave?? I ask you

Men who collect boxed action figures and keep them in boxes on display. Bonus points if they are figures from Star Trek / horror films / Transformers

men who say they are feminists. Bollocks you are, you've just learned it's a good way to get into someone's knickers. Bonus points if they say something like 'Well, I just think the lyrics in rap music is just quite derogatory to women' or 'it would be better if we had women leaders, really' with a thoughtful look on their face

Wearing 'funny' nerd pun t-shirts / t-shirts with cartoons on past their twenties

Men who tan. On purpose
Brilliant 😂

When people repost/retweet competitions to win something.
Fair play to them if they win - but it just gives me the ick 😂
I don't even enter them because it makes me cringe that much 😂 my friend is constantly entering them though and tags me every one 🤦🏼‍♀️

I once saw a guy who told me that he snapped his banjo string shagging a girl once.
Haven't most men done this?.

Does this count for women bc I’m having to do this 😭 also I’m giving myself the ick with my lil backpack for work
Also guilty of carrying my cutlery in my laptop bag 🤣🤣🤣 There's none in the office and we're not allowed to leave anything on our desks or in drawers so I have too!
