The ICK #12

I have the ick from a colleague and it makes me feel bad because the person is lovely!
She lives at home, she’s mid thirties but that’s not the ick, it’s that she is the classic, lives at home so acts like a teenager. She talks about how she has arguments with her siblings but they sounds so ridiculous! Or about how she ‘went to her room’ to get away, the idea of an adult only having ‘their room’ just feels a bit childish and gives me the ick.
Lack of independence and ambition icks me out, so the way she talks about only being with her family and having nothing outside of that makes me see her as a child. She gets up on the weekend and sits on the sofa with her family, then they go out as a family, she comes home and relaxes with them. She only holidays with family and one of her siblings has a few kids and she is very very involved in this part of the family, to the point where it’s like she has nothing going on of her own, going to school pick up and admits pushing into conversations her sister has with the staff if she doesn’t like what’s being said. She isn’t interested in friends and even refuses to do anything with the colleagues when we have anything going on. It just feels like there is a teenager in the office. Sorry that’s long and sorry if it offends anyone, I needed to get it out! I recognise I’m being unfair so can’t say this to anyone as it is so mean!
she doesn't give me the ick, but it made me feel sad. I understand the part of living at home as things and economy can be very difficult, but the no friends/partner part and only having her family seems a bit unusual.

Man doing leg stretches before getting on a kids trampoline with his 5 year old. I was expecting to see him do somersaults and tit but all he did was hop. Wtf.

I wonder if we know the same person because I know someone *exactly* the same as this and I always think it's a very odd situation

There could be three cos I also have a work colleague in her 40s, lives at home with her parents and siblings. No obvious desire or plans to move out 🤷‍♀️ which would be fine if she was happy but she doesn't seem to be. I may introduce her to the concept of ✨️ free will ✨️

This has unlocked a massive ick of mine.
Men who stand over the pool stretching before they get in and swim.
Never understood it…the whole thing with swimming is you stretch whilst doing it 🤣
The last bloke was flexing his muscle and stretching for an eternity, got in the fast lane and couldn’t actually swim 😬
Lots of blokes (most of them) who come to the pool always, without fail get in the fast lane and aren’t up to it.
I decided a long time ago to ask them to go in the slower lane.
women just don’t do this!
A few weeks back another women and me moved to the middle lane (no other swimmers) because men were invading the fast lane and all of them were so slow. So we had a bit of a laugh about their egos and then had the middle lane to ourselves perfect 👌

Remember those big yellow steering wheel locks that used to be popular years ago? I was waiting in a pub beer garden for a guy I was seeing when he drove in, attached his massive lock then took ages to fuss about inside the car, got out, locked it then walked around checking each door (when the car had central locking) and then walked towards me. My tina has sealed itself shut by the time he sat down.

That reminds me of Mr Bean 🤣 and his unique car lock!

Anyone who’s rude to service staff in any way. Just heard a customer be so rude to someone at my workplace for no reason and I feel my blood pressure rise every time. She’s literally just doing her job, HELPING HIM, and he can’t even be polite back.

Eeeewwww I remember dating a guy a few times (shagged him then regretted it) and he was so excited to show off his second car. It was a lime green and black sports car 🤢 such a midlife crisis I didn’t even give a tit about the make or model it just gave me such an ick.
But the most ick inducing part….he drove really close up the arses of other drivers.

Men with goatees 😐
I generally dislike when men do any weird stuff with their facial hair. It always makes their look worse to me.
Especially when they have sparse beard but insist on growing it like in this photo. Why!!

Also why did people decide moustaches are back in fashion? 😭 old men in eastern europe still haven't got rid of their original ones, now half the young guys i see have a full on moustache 😭

Moustache and mullets! 🤢
Also men with beards like that and especially when it carries on down their chin and throat. They look like a drunk!
