You're absolutely right Clara, her Patrons will stick blindly with her to the end. Who I wonder about are Nic, Marie and Potts....it's one thing to have SJ as a partner but to potentially have Snorty as a partner?? I'd be very unhappy indeed.

And they are, very unhappy that is. Nic Larkin does not do well with drama and Snorty being his bff's partner guarantees just that, the little drama queen plots and plans the stories they want to tell. It's why Larkin won't visit as much as in the old days. Same with Potty, although as I have come to understand it's mostly Ruth who doesn't like the twit. Her objective in coming to the shittoo has never been to become a character in SJ's soap. She sees SJ as her closest friend and wants to spent as much private time with her as possible. The relationship with Snorty has seriously downsized those moments as he is guarding her like a watch dog and hardly ever leaves her side.
The latest gossip I've heard, and I have to be careful and call it just that, gossip, even if two separate sources mentioned it without me asking, is that it was Snorty who gave C4 the official go ahead in mentioning his relation to the charlataine, as he was fed up with being kept in the dark and judged for his "we-talk". It would make sense, his position was mostly affected by the secrecy.

Perhaps Snorty was sly and requested Channel 4 make the big reveal? He does like the spotlight doesn't he?

Bingo! That's exactly what I've heard. And it's not just the spotlight he likes, he's desperate to strengthen his position in the household either way.

SJ being a narcissist is a frequent comment here, and I love your comment on love-bombing. Has SJ seen a woman's outfit that isn't 'beautiful'! It's autopilot for her now. The moment she steps into a busy kitchen she love-bombs with comments on the women's clothing. Marie was a fatality of the love-bombing ... "Marie, you look so beautiful' ad nauseam.

Why did they try to hide it? It was obvious.
He was the youngest, least skilled & experienced volunteer but got employed faster than any of the other hard-working ones.
He had different skills when he 1st arrived, upholsterer, painter, table setter etc &,then she created job roles for him, videographer, editor, social media assistant, travel companion etc
His office was moved from her desk to a room beside hers even though there's lots of empty spaces & furniture around the chateau.
He took her ONLY car to Netherlands & she used a rented one.
He is in most of the videos & even when you can't see him you can hear his voice behind the camera & he interrupts her when she is speaking with someone else.
He moved in his furniture (they said that in the Q & A).
He included questions for himself in the Q&A meant for SJ & her patreons.
Selma called Philip (not SJ or Nati) when he travelled to Netherlands to ask which bed he should fix in Nic's apartment.
A lot of people have questioned why he says we when referring to the property.
I don't watch CDIY but from the few ones I watched I noticed SJ only uses close friends & family for the show but now we know she included Philip after knowing him for 6 months.
SJ should be careful using random people for her videos it would attract stalkers & those who want a YT platform (Taty). She has strangers cooking her food & entering her room. This may be why her cousin moved in.

To be honest, from the beginning I always thought of Philip as a Uriah Heep character, I think he is gay and he’s pretending to be straight to be with Stephanie. Secondly, I’m quite new to this site and I’ve been quite a fan of Stephanie’s, so I don’t feel this was about her private life, I feel this was being completely deceitful and hiding it not just being private. I think the motivation to keep it hidden was to appear more clean and innocent for her patrons.

If that were to be true, one can only feel extremely sorry for a woman of her age if BJJ is the love of her life! Poor, poor little Steph. I could well believe that she did arrange for the DIY programme to reveal it for her. Then, she could pretend she was trying to keep it private but maybe she felt guilty about deceiving the fans. She has now revealed that her taste in men is just as questionable as her taste in many other things but, of course, we know quite a lot about the taste of many of the patrons. I am curious about Snorty's "role" at Lalande now? Does he see himself as co-Chateleine and are the others expected to accept him as a boss? Is he purely seen by the others as the latest Royal Bedwarmer and they continue much as before? I imagine that the atmosphere with SJ's friends and co-owners may be somewhat strained when Snorty is around. He certainly seems to be excluded from the co-owner discussions.

It also explains the beneath the radar visit by his parents a little while ago.

On the surface she would indeed appear to be a nice person. I mean, she does not say bad things about anyone in public and has a kind word for everybody. The fact that she is always kind and cheerful does however instantly spark the thought of it all being an act, fake, a show. It might be charming for a while, but her behavior gets old and boring real fast and nobody in her entire entourage actually listens to what she says anymore, for this reason. There's no sincerity, no deeper immersion and it really shows, even on camera and even edited by herself to make it look as normal and cheerful as possible. It's no act, in a sense that she's just not able to behave differently. It feels like an act though, always, because it is not fed with any genuine emotions.
