The book is actually FANTASTIC, but I love Kevin Kwan (Crazy Rich Asians) AND A Room With A View. Sex and Vanity is a modern retelling of ARWAV and it is a perfect confection of a novel that had some critical acclaim.

I have to say I was quite envious of the properties, the view, the beach & the food. However As someone mentioned so disrespectful to her Patreons. Once again, like the previous vlog, lots of negative comments - this time about the title (exile) and some about all the luxury they both enjoy.
I'll watch the vlog tomorrow but I'm quite happy with the comments (and I swear I didn't write any of them !)

I had a friend who worked in a very fancy restaurant. No Michelin Star, but very upmarket. The ingredients for each dish were costed and there was a £1.00 ceiling for desserts. A wipe of sieved raspberry or mango, a waft of icing sugar over a template to create a pretty lace pattern, an expensive looking tiny biscuit or brandy snap and, an edible flower and the mark up was astronomical. And a dab of pea puree on the main course and a dribble of red wine jus - people will pay anything. They did not have a standard mark up - they had a minimum one but always actually charged whatever they could get away with.
I haven’t watched SSB vlogs in a while, but I don‘t think I’ve missed anything important.
