The chickens have arrived and fan's picture is gone. Seems fan read the comments and realized it was in very, very bad taste to hang Shirley's gift in the chicken coop. Idiot Snorty doesn't seem to see what the problem is - "maybe we should frame it and put glass on front", but fan see's sense and makes the excuse that a frame may just invite red mites.
It was hard to keep track of the chickens as fan was waffling on....but I believe this is the breakdown. Three of the chickens need names, so have at it tattlers......
Silkies - fan calls these her Chinese chickens, they aren't good layers, but are good mothers and very good brooders
- 1 black named Shadow Master Prince of Darkness (named by Sabina)
- 1 white named Tinkerbell (Tink) by Annalaise who was there visiting the chickens with her boys. Apparently Annalise loves chickens and knows more about them than fan. One day Annalaise may get chickens, but not yet.
- 1 grey -will be named by Lalanders
Leghorns - fan calls these her Italian (Tuscan) chickens. They were from Livorno, but was translated improperly into Leghorn. fan can't tell them apart and wants interchangeable names (ex: Lucy & Ethel)
Both unnamed - any suggestions?
Faverolles - fan calls these her French chickens - they are from Ben, 1 year old, they are meat & egg chickens but these are only for eggs
- 1 black named Curella de Ville (named by Snorty)
- 1 colour unknown - will be named by Lalanders
- 1 buff coloured (in the picture) - unnamed any suggestions?
Pekins - fan calls these her British chickens because they originated in Peking and may have originally been sent to Queen Victoria in the 1830's or stolen during the Opium Wars (who knows, who cares, fan is just waffling on about the origins of each chicken). Both unnamed and will be named by Lalanders who haven't yet had a chance to see the chickens.

Wyandotte - fan calls these her American chickens, named after an indigenous tribe
1 - has been named Myrtle (named by fan) because ofcourse fan's grandfather had a chicken named Myrtle

These chicken losses are mind-blowing! Sure, you lose some over time for various reasons. An entire flock being wiped out isn't unheard of, but twice, let alone three times? Mine are free-ranging, and they forage in the fields and woodlands. I've lost a few to a fox, but never all of them. I can only imagine they were wiped out by some sort of disease. Since they always throw new chickens into the coop, any new chickens should be quarantined for a month before being introduced to the flock. In my opinion, sweet little Ratso 2.0 is the culprit! He's a ratter, after all, and bored out of his mind. Probably the very reason she keeps the missing chicken a secret—she certainly doesn't have any scruples about exploiting death of any kind!
Brilliant idea. You could have the story of Pip setting up his first scam, to fund a trip to Madrid. After lots of adventures where he is conned out of his illgotten games by a a ginger Tom cat, he joins up with a large little toad and sets himself up as an artist, product designer, author, cottage restore, gardener and general con man.

Seriously? It's not like there aren't other retreats by these YouTubers that would be infinitely more gratifying. At least at any one of these other vlogger's retreats you'd have a better chance of getting a decent dinner or not coming away with black lung.
Meanwhile, all of her other chateau "friends" are moving forward with their decorating and renovations, whether they look great or not, and seem to have formed true relationships not based on Stephanie's camera script. The point is, they have a purpose in their lives.
