Pug also needs to check his punctation and syntax if he is planning on becoming Teabag's copywriter.

Why are people changing their avatars to one letter?
I deleted my avatar here when people from elsewhere started lifting the ones from here and using them as their own avatars. When you don't choose an avatar, the system uses the first letter of your screen name.

I am the same age as fan, and our lives couldn't be any more different. I usually get in over 13K steps per day, but yesterday, I took the dogs to the park in their stroller after my run so they could pee on new scenery, cleaned the house, went to the grocery store and cooked an early dinner for some of our sailing friends- I clocked in over 20K steps. This morning, I awoke at the same time I always do to let the dogs out, fed them their brekkie and gave Luna her insulin injection.

I was exhausted, so went back to bed for another hour, made a high protein brekkie, unloaded the dishwasher, started a load of laundry, had a runny nose which reminded me to take a Zyrtec, walked the pups and whilst I was not feeling it at all today, mentally forced myself to go for my 4-mile run before Luna's annual well-baby appointment at the vet (to be fair, we are there every three months, but she was due ALL of her shots today and is not a happy camper. But, her bloodwork compared to three months ago was awesome, so it was a win for me.).

I thought about fan whilst on my run today. Things really start to change in a woman's body when you hit the "Nifty 50s" and unless you are on top of it, things can de-escalate quickly. The loss of muscle mass and a slower metabolism is real as well as arthritis, hence why one has to increase their protein intake and have a strong exoskeleton to support these aging old bones. What you put into your body is what you get out of it regarding nutrition and exercise. In fan's case, if she keeps on the path she is on, she's going to eventually look like Chantal. I'm not trying to be mean, but this is the honest truth.

Even bad-ass T Rexes who eat right and exercise every day get cellulite, to my dismay and horror. Plantar fasciitis is the bane of my existence (as well as allergies), but I deal with it (good shoes and physical therapy) and keep on keeping on. All the botox and fillers are not going to fix an aging body.
I’ve always been fit, played basketball till I couldn’t anymore, boxed, yoga and gym. I’ve hit my mid 60’s and I now have severe arthritis, knees are bone on bone so my pain level is high, the only exercise I can do now is swimming which is still very painful.

A lot of my arthritis is genetic but I also blame it on basketball, I was playing at a very high level and after some games I felt very beaten up. I also played comp squash which is not great for your knees when you’re nearly 6 feet tall.

Anyway I feel like I did all the right things to set me up for my later years but it hasn’t worked out that way. Knee replacements next and I still have arthritic spine , neck, feet and hands lol

Btw I’m not feeling sorry for myself because things could be worse but I will say arthritis sucks. And I really enjoyed my years playing basketball so it was not wasted.

I tried to change my Avatar but it won't accept any images from my phone so it's back to the boring L. At least Lady Avonlea was able to use my hilarious picture of Baldilocks as hers 😂

I feel for you. Yes arthritis really sucks but the knee replacements do really help (although they are very painful initially). I'm in my 60s and had one 5 years ago and the other one 3 months ago ❤

look at the name of your picture file, it should end with .jpg or .png
Try to rename the file if there are additional numbers and punctuation marks behind the .jpg or .png ending.

the files name must look like xxxxx.jpg or xxxxx.png
Not xxxxxx.jpg.4634u or so

We should play it in reverse for Chateau de Lalandfil
Lalandfill was never palatial inside, a big farmhouse with a bunch of tulips painted on a beam, never loved, cared for or looked after, a dump from design to build.

Absolutely lifted, Pyke! Well spotted!

Second pic is the original photo you mentioned in House and Garden. The sun's reflections in windows, part opened windows are identical, etc.
No surprises that this duo resort to theft of imagery and cheating. Says it all.

Image owned by Britt Willoughby photographer.

Far out, that's absolutely awful and blatant. What a pack of grifters these lot are, I hope they will be caught out.

How's the recovery going?

It'll be my knee's first birthday soon, I still get that elestic band feeling now and then.

I have no idea what the origin of my arthritis is, but it’s no laughing matter. My arthritis seems to have appeared and deteriorated very quickly. I’m counting the days until my hip replacement in mid-June. I’m also seeing the ortho about my shoulder next week and will likely get a cortisone shot. This should tide me over until my referral for surgery comes through to the arthritis centre and teaching hospital downtown. In the meantime, I’ve found the Cdn. Arthritis Society to be a very helpful resource.

Also, I’ve had a bad head cold turned chest cold for the past 10 days (coughing my guts out) and have been able to get my ass up out of bed fan.
