My mother was very strict about eating out of doors in public places, picnics aside. So it has been ingrained in me since birth to not to. I do find it deeply offensive to see people eating take away food, of any type, while walking along, on public transport etc. Find a bench in a park (it's not like London is short on parks) and make it an impromptu picnic. Despicable fan and her appalling sidekick Thrush are so uncouth and well, despicable.

Here we are 1 week into the new year, hard to believe.
Stephanie & Dan will be easing back into their routines, new projects on the horizon, existing ones to finish.
It will be slightly quiet at Lalande for the 1st weeks of the year, with regular much enjoyed contributors badly missed, Maria, Pavlina & Jared who are all exploring new journeys & opportunities in their lives.
Percy Attfield is continuing his recovery in South Africa with Isabelle Jarvis, hopefully they will be able to visit Lalande in the warmer months.
Stephen & Chantal have moved south to embrace an exciting new chapter in their new lives, having relocated from the UK & purchased a new property...not forgetting wedding plans...
Amaury will be kept busy at Lalande moving through his never ending 'To Do' list.....spending his evenings with Natalia as they plan their future together & discuss wedding plans.
Gerry Grady is as busy as ever..which he loves..working with & meeting the public, providing a taxi service to his local community & client base. Michael Potts will be returning to the F1 circuit whilst embracing his wild life & cityscape photography.
Anton is getting so grown up.....
Annalise will be on stylist duties keeping the team picture perfect...and spoiling us with glimpses of the boys, who are also getting big!
Dana Cookbook continues to grow her You Tube channel & has lots of plans for its future, remember to subscribe.
The unsung heroes of Lalande, Dave & Mary Poppins who keep everything ship shape & shinning.will be flat out soon with spring cleaning, preparing the chateau for a new season of guests.
The gardens & grounds of the estate continue to be transformed & maintained by Kirsty Giles & Ombeline, Nick & Cameron plus Davy. I can't wait to see the plantings flourishing & whats in store for the gazebos.These two teams achieved so much this year..animal husbandry..food..flowers..firewood..timber..take a bow you deserve it!
Then we had the pitter patter of tiny paws...the arrival of Lancelot...enough said there, the wee rascal...he is going to need some tough love to get the potty training & walking to the top of his his agenda lol...just as well he isn't a labrador Philip"s back would be broke getting him into a bag never mind carrying it lol!
For all the happy events through out the last year, there has been a bounty of sadness.
Ian the plasterer, Makotso & the contractor who all very sadly passed away, May their souls rest in peace.
Each of us will have had our favourite high points & low points ( Excluding the sad deaths).
For me the highest point was the fundraising for the chapel, I couldn't believe the volume of support & generosity...
My lowest point....I miss Jared & Pavlina's contribution so much...from crafting...florals...photography....their creation of fairytales. They for me were the Ying & Yang of Lalande....there is a consolation, we will get to follow their new journey's...filled with creativity...fantasy & love....

You and me both. My Mum used to say "only hookers eat on the street" she once caught me eating an apple on the street and went nuts-she wasn't strict and really laid back on most things but wouldn't tolerate this kind of behaviour. fan is ill bred and doesn't know about standards and manners she is so ignorant and so entitled she wouldn't consider for a moment how unacceptable this behaviour is.
I enjoy watching The Moons and their Legacy of Legends.
Mommy Moon has started to include clips from followers of their magical moments. Latest vlog shows a fan "Hali" made a donation for a 5 star chapel "rip off" of fan's on behalf of the "magic Moons family, friends and The Legends" (at the 6:23 mark).
I wish Hali would have donated her money directly to The Moons towards the care of their horses. A fool born every minute.

The Chapel is a vanity project and to ensure maximum grifting. I ask you who spends that kind of money when their house is falling down. The pretension "the estate". Makes you laugh doesn't it. The Smug's Chateau is now probably worth 4 x fan's and is a realistic size to live in and also has business potential with the out buildings. fan should have invested in future business potential and making the place structurally sound. The Smug's don't shop until they need something and have even managed to sell out of one of their candle flavours. fan bought La Lande because it is big and it was cheap pure and simple.
I just do not know how they have the hide of crying poor - buy a star for the Chapel , give us $$ for the falling down castle , fund the pond , please buy some plants for the dead garden , Mummy's

Do you remember one of the grifts at first was buying Mummy a lawnmower-the notion that Percy, Mummy and fan couldn't afford a lawn mower is so laughable. It all goes back to if you can't afford the property and renovations you shouldn't buy the house. The fans are shallow and vapid too, they don't want to see, they want to be friends with Stephanie and believe they are. They all gush and pretend to be sweet just like their botoxed leader. I have a friend who has a mango tree and last year I made an AMAZING mango gelato/ice cream. It was super simple - purée the mango and mix with coconut milk and put it in the ice cream maker . No added sugar, no cooking, it was super simple, fresh and healthy!!!As we are talking about food, did anyone notice any preserves made during the summer season? They had a glut of zucchini-relish, they had a glut of beetroot-saurerkraut or relish. You can't tell me there weren't many wild blackberry bushes which were unsprayed in that area and everyone should have been sent out with a bucket to pick them- blackberry jam, frozen for crumbles. Local quinces-jelly. Local tomatoes, frozen or sauced when they are cheap. Cheap apples cooked and frozen...... All of these beautiful preserves to add to the cheese platters, home-made jam for the guests breakfast.
If Maree was preparing for the main meals, Pav and Marie or whoever could have easily organised and cooked these products in between the main cooking of the day/evening. They could have set up a preserving station in one of the apartments which has a stove top.
Mangoes- I live in mango territory. Because I can plan ahead and like home-made produce

I hate them both equally! The only difference is that I used to like fan briefly. Snorts was hate at first sight!
To be honest it is only the bare faced lies and loathing that keep me tuning in. It goes against everything I was brought up to believe in and it is evident that fan's upbringing has a lot to be desired. If I was doing what fan does my parents and friends would be having a stern word. It is so wrong preying on the lonely and bereft to make yet more money. Snorts is odious in the extreme, but he is young, not terribly bright and one of life's losers so part of me pities the poor camel toed freak, this will not end well for him. When she first started taking him everywhere I wondered why as he lacks charm, he is not funny and he is a real chinless, liver lipped wonder and not likeable.Oh yes...... the lawnmower that poor , poor Mummy

They clearly feel worried that patrons may be waking up to just how much money they spend so they have both decided to say how cheaply they get things on internet auctions and at brocantes. It's clearly all lies. They are so naive if they don't realise that it's patently obvious what they are doing, trying to hide their manic acquisitiveness. However, their fans are so blind, they won't see through it.
