How much are you paying per litre? I'm in Ontario, we are $2/Cdn litre now

I've sussed Fanny out. She's been reading here tree guy must be good in the sack, her interest is piqued! So she sent Phyllis off with Nutty 3 hours away, then kept him on Marie watch all week so she could check out said tree guy, get him half naked and create an opportunity to admire his tattoos, ALL of his tattoos... Whilst Phyllis is running around in girlyshorts, she's clearly told him to stay clear.
I’m currently paying £1.76 per litre which works out to around $2.81 Cdn.

I’ve read that when Picasso would switch girlfriends or whatever, you could notice their new faces showing up in his work. But then again, Stephanie is no Picasso. We could ask Jason Dubey his thoughts.
Oh god, don't, you'll never get him to shut up!

1 US liquid gallon = 3.785 litres.
Where I live:-
£1.52 per litre yesterday
£1.44 per litre 2 months ago
£1. 35 per litre 6 months ago
£1.20 per litre 2 years ago and steady at that price for the previous 3 years, with a brief drop to £0.95 during the first few months of lockdown.
Oh I didn’t know that the uk gallon and the USA gallons were different amounts. How confusing.
I live in Berkshire and £1.76 is the going rate here at the moment. £1.52 seems a good deal.

I quite agree! Pavlina's body language suggests disapproval to me - a sneering quality about it, despite that she's smiling. No, she doesn't like them at all, but is probably far too well mannered to openly show it. I think she'll be avoiding them most of the time and sticking with the far more down to Earth and genuine Kirsty.
I think she's just a little uncomfortable being the new kid on the block, at least she's sitting at the table getting to know Marie.. If she wasn't interested she'd make busy in the greenhouse or painting chairs.

It is confusing... when I first got into wine making it was a bit touch n go... I went with US gallons assuming it was most likely in Canada, even though the grape juice was from Italy... it worked out ok.

I love this initiative. An Irish friend purchased a €1 home in a charming little Medieval Italian village and spent two years on renovations. The village is high in the mountains and stunning. His neighbours are a family from Sudan and a family from Morocco, with Syrian friends across the way. Both neighbours have set up businesses, one a small grocery store and the other a restaurant in the town. He was going to just use his property as an Air B&B but loves the area so much, and is so taken with his new neighbours and their friends, he's there for 8 months of the year now.

An incentive like this in France would certainly help to regenerate areas lost to depopulation.
Yes I think this is quite a good initiative. In fact it is so successful that I've seen on YT two English people who have made a business out of it. They go around their area, find abandoned properties and offer advise and assistance to foreign would-be clients. From what I've seen though, they make a deal with local workers and contractors for the restauration works needed, so you have to pay twice, both them and the contractors team. And not always clients are happy. It would be better to do all by yourself, like probably did your friend, but you have to be very well informed and do a lot of research beforehand, plus learning the language, because unfortunately permissions and licences are a very tricky and complicated affair in Italy and often the workers and contractors are not very honest.

I always hear comments like that and wonder about it. With many people having private insurance in the United States and not through their jobs sometimes dental insurance is not covered. I thought in countries with socialized medicine like the UK or Canada , you had “ free” Or more like covered dental insurance, In the past so many people had bad teeth. I know part of it is we have fluoride in our drinking water and I’m not sure in other countries they have that I know where my husband is from they did not have fluoride in the drinking water and as a child he didn’t really go to the dentist. So for all of you not in the United States what’s your dental stories.
These are the rates for dental work in England. You qualify for free dental care if you are still at school, pregnant and until the baby is 1. Not working but claiming benefits or on a low income. I’m sure I’m right but rules may have changed.
The problem we have here in Berkshire is when your treatment goes into band 3 the dentist will say that they won’t do that treatment on the NHS so you have to pay private prices.

Here in Italy €1.89 - 1.95 per liter. And it has slightly gone down, because last month it was 2.10! The cost of living is unbearable, especially in the Norh.

Wow! That is REALLY high- is that per month?!? I have an amazing plan in the US where I pay about $40 per month, and it covers annual cleanings, screenings, fillings, and pays 50% for any crowns and cosmetic work.

Just skimmed to the end of the recent vlog. Marie’s eyes do not look well. Mirror to the soul, there is, to me, a bit of “medication” haze in those eyes. She can’t quite absorb, or feel the hug from Natti. It’s all very surface. I do hope she gets professional help. Deep wounds from childhood just coming to the surface most likely. Oh my, it was worrisome to study her just now and see what others here on Tattle were mentioning. I get life is a journey, that the road and sidewalks have cracks. We all go through things, we’re always growing up, no matter the age. But Marie looks profoundly sullen in the eyes. The smile she offers does not change what her eyes show.
Marie's eyes look like they've hitched a ride on an express elevator to Pluto.

However, if it's caused by her medication, then it's best she keeps taking it up until she is in a position to get to a other doctor to further discuss her thyroid condition, her mental health and hopefully be referred to a specialist who can help her. If it's caused by not taking her meds, then wtf Marie!

A few takeaways from today’s CD:
-Sexualizing your cousin is disgusting & creepy.
-Sexualizing Dan is disgusting & creepy.
-Looks like Natti has been reading here and took 8 minutes to get ready today instead of her normal 4.
-Dan’s chest tattoo reads, “I’m a douche” written out in English, French, Turkish & Pig Latin.
-Stephanie, leave Nick the tree surgeon alone, he’s the hardest working man at the Chateau de Lalande ever.

What was up with SJ telling Dan that Phi Phi Big boy pants thought that Dan looked like a stock photo of the perfect boyfriend now ( like the pics you find inside a newly purchased frame)...and Dan said something like, " Oh yeah, like for him right?" And Fanny laughed and agreed.
Weird.
Did I hear that right?
Did I misunderstand what was said?

No you only pay when you have treatment. Band A is usually your 6 monthly check up. Next week I think I will need to have a tooth extracted so the price of that work will come under treatment band B, £65.20

I thought the very same thing! Oh FML, now that Dan is a Turkish Cosmetic Dentistry model, BJJ is on the prowl... Lock your door tonight, Dan! I fear it is not the sex-crazed Dana, Spud, nor our beloved newly returned Flower Killer who will be tapping on your door with some R-Kelley playing on a boombox... "My Chateaulaine is telling me no, but my BODY, my BODY is telling me yeah..."

Heated debate on f/b about the activities on CD

I am horrified that you would clear so many trees, or any, at the time of nesting. How many nests did you destroy? It is appalling that somebody with such appalling disregard for nature and wildlife oversees so many acres. Imagine the stress of the birds seeing their nests and chicks destroyed.

Mary Higgins nick is a professional, I am sure he would have checked properly before starting. Most of the birds near us have already fledged so not really nesting time still

Shirley Westhead Nesting continues until well into August. Most birds raise 2-4 clutches. The fledging you see are the first batch. There will be 2-4 more clutches per mating pair. What Stephanie has done is reprehensible, possibly illegal, definitely illegal in most countries I'm familiar with. And we have Amaury talking about how relaxing it is to listen to the birds, meanwhile he is pulling down their habitat during nesting. Unbelievable.

Gardeners in France asked not to cut hedges
Environmental associations are asking people with gardens not to trim any hedges or prune trees until the end of July in order to protect birds.

lolair ..... you can see in her body language that Pavlina cringes and trys to move her body far , far away from them in her chair.
Many may feel sorry for FRK but even if Pavlina was heading for the Chateau before war broke out ..... I feel sorry for Her as FRK and Natti are two tough tarts to deal with !!! :cautious:
Oh..... and Fanny and her Squirrel boyfriend will Never stand by her either.

OMG HOWLING WOLF - you’ve said it, and you’ve said it perfectly. “Ms. HMN and Phillipa DON’T ENGAGE IN A PHYSICAL NATURE. . . . . .THAT IS BEYOND OBVIOUS. . . .HE’S LIKE THE “GAY“ BEST FRIEND (no offense to anyone) He FILLED THE VOID WHEN MICHAEL GOT TIRED OF PLAYING THE PART OF HER “LOVE INTEREST”. SHE HAD TO BOUNCE BACK AND IS CONTENT TO LET HIM PLAY HIS LITTLE ACT. You are so SPOT ON. Nailed it. But who would have FANNY (plenty have, of course). She can’t possibly have anyone near her age. And anyone slightly older would walk away dusting off their hands with a no thank you. So, HOWLING WOLF you get a free big box of Villoti fashions, including accessories. Congratulations.
Villoti 🤣🤣🤣 that’s hysterical. Thank you 😘

It's usually about the £1.30 mark. The jump to £1.52 per litre of petrol has only happened since Russia invaded Ukraine. We are also seeing rations on sunflower oil. In our local Sainsburys, customers are limited to 3 x 1 litre bottles per person. The same with bulgar wheat products. There's been rationing on a few Polish products we usually buy as well. I'm wondering if this rationing is happening in France too, as I'm headed back there in a week or so for work.
