You don’t think that the world famous and persistent French Internal Revenue would be the ones to be on to her? Prodigious compliance is expected in France and scary audits commonplace. It’s easy for the authorities to carry out raids and to seize material and documents.

2. idk.. I have seen people who never properly deal with their grief and it haunts them years after the fact. My dear uncle who cared for my grandmother when she was sick, could never come to terms with her death and although it has been almost 20 years since her passing, a small mention of her brings him to tears... unresolved grief can be crippling and I suspect SJ suffers from some form of it.

2. is it really grief for her father or grief for her having fallen in depression for 8 years ?
