That's only for being 'matched' with a Ukrainian stranger. If you know/of someone, or have any kind of connection with them then of course they can stay with you with no vetting. But for the people with no connections, the official services exist to pair up hosts and refugees.

SJ clearly knows (or knows of) someone who needs somewhere to live. I'll criticise her for many things but giving shelter to a refugee will not be one of them.

I have done both and its just as complicated and painful in both scenarios, especially if children are involved. Marriage does not hold a couple together if its not meant to be.

I have done both too, although children weren't involved in the unmarried one and the married one was definitely much harder and more complicated for me and my husband/partner.

No, I checked and Michael’s Patreon is alive and well! (well..it’s alive, but not doing so well). He still has 394 idiots…I mean Patreons…supporting him. However, what’s interesting is that he’s deleted the “About” section (the section that describes who he is and what he plans to use the money for). I guess it’s easier for him to delete all the bullshit he wrote about using the money to help restore the chateau and cottage since he really used it to party in Spain.

So weird, I can't pull it up in the search feature on Patreon. Must be on my end.
