Watching an episode of Heartbeat last night, and Andrew Lancel/ Neil Manson was in it. He was a bit of a baddie, he was wearing a mask, breaking into an office building. But before I saw his face, I recognised his voice 😁. He was in hs twenties or so, hasn't changed at all, apart from obviously looking a bit older in The Bill.

I saw him in The Sound of Music musical, as Captain von Trapp, in 2020. Again, I knew his voice immediately.

It's mad how you can recognise someone's voice, isn't it! Do you remember DS Max Carter? He had quite a distinctive voice and I always loved it. I remember watching Police Interceptors one day and thinking, I know that voice... Googled it and it was him!

Also does anyone watch EastEnders? Alex Walkinshaw is in it now as Ross and honestly, I feel a bit sad watching him. He was so good as Smithy, and even when he moved over to Casualty/Holby he was still really good as Fletch but in EastEnders he just feels like a bit of a background character. I really wish they'd brought him in as a bigger character and actually given him something decent to work with.

Andrew Lancel is hot. That impassive face. ❤ I'm pretty sure I'll have mentioned it earlier in the thread, but I used to have a major crush on Rod Skase with his posh boy persona. I think the actor was called Ian Fletcher. So many hotties (and good actors of course) in the Bill.

He was in EastEnders not that long ago. This is him now

He’s definitely underused in Eastenders, I do wonder how he feels about his character!

They need the old Bill actors in one scene!

I agree 😁.
The series I am watching at the mo had DC Eva Sharpe in it. Diane Parish/ Denise in Eastenders. Wonder if she and Jack/ Scott Maslen ever discuss the old days in The Bill. 😉
She did an Instagram post ages ago where they recreated a BTS photo from The Bill of just them two together. She mentioned being stuck with him for over 20 years
