Looking to get some photos printed, I know there's a few online I can get them from, any recommendations of which ones that will do pretty good quality?

Don't want to use those machines up town like in boots or Asda etc cause the quality always comes out so crap

She let's him off the lead and he's often way ahead of her so I guess he'd just pee on the sign! I had a word this morning, she said 'oh right', nothing more. She's passed twice glaring at the front with him on the lead so hopefully message received. I've put the lion poo down anyway if it deters anything its a bonus!

Someone near me has a sign on their drive saying "No dog fowling" and apart from the typo - I have chickens and I don't want dogs anywhere near them - it works. I would go for that option rather than expensive lion poo.

FreePrints are decent. But the “free prints” are quite small.

Did anyone else get a Our Future Health letter through the post about some study they are doing? If you did, are you going to sign up to do it ?

This is really an odd one (even for me) a pigeon flew into my window, it survived. It didnt seem injured maybe just stunned. Anyways after a couple of hours it was still just in my garden so I managed to track down it's owner. Unfortunately he cant collect tonight, so im pigeon sitting for the night, im terrified it might die in my care. A bit wary of birds but I don't want anything bad to happen.

That’s really lovely of you to go to that trouble. I hope it’s survived the night?

I don’t know if this is the right thread for it but I got dumped by my partner last week, quite brutally and he just packed all of his things and left. We were going through a really rough patch but I didn’t think but I didn’t see it coming. It’s been over a week but I’ve been feeling worse and worse each day, I know this will pass eventually but my god it is so painful. To think the person I love doesn’t want me anymore.

The pigeon survived the night. The owner got lost finding us but it is happily on its way home and should make a full recovery. The owner said the pigeon got lost in the strong winds we've been having lately.

You poor sausage. I am so sorry to read this. Continue on this thread if you like, or start one of your own. It will pass but the only way for it to get easier is to work through it. Have you got some good people around you?

I was walking my dog this morning and two builders' vans were parked right across the pavement outside a house, blocking it entirely (and on double yellows to boot). I (politely) asked them to move but they said they were allowed to park there and they didn't have anywhere else to park (apart from the massive drive of the house where they're working). They said people could walk round the van or on the grass. I pointed out people shouldn't have to go in the road and that wheelchairs/pushchairs need extra space, whereupon the bloke said he was going to ignore me and called me a pig. I have told the non emergency police and asked for parking enforcement to go out but it's also been suggested I talk to the people whose house it is (they weren't in residence at the time). I don't mind being bolshy with ignorant construction workers, but I'm kind of dreading falling out with people I may have to see for the next few years. (I've no intention of being rude, but I also will not back down) Just a ramble really...

I always use Snapfish. Always good quality and there’s usually a discount. I get photo books made of holidays and I have never been disappointed.

Is there a company name on the van?

Don’t feel bad about it. I did the same then went and knocked on the neighbours door to say the workmen are ignorant and I’ve had words with them. In my case the neighbour apologised (which I was not expecting, just wanted him to kno what went on) and mentioned they were rude to his wife as well. He went outside and stood there watching them work for the rest of the day 😂

In any case I would talk to neighbour and just politely say it’s causing you issues and you don’t want to moan about it bit can they please sort it out.

Does anyone have recommendations on what to use to cover up marks on a wardrobe? Most are just small ones but I noticed today a bigger one that must've been tape stuck to it that's pulled/discoloured the paint

No there wasn't or I'd have gone down that route. I knocked on the door a couple of different occasions but they weren't in so I have put A nice letter through the door with my name and number on it in case they want to talk to me. The blokes haven't been back so maybe I scared them off. I do hope so.

I need to pluck up the courage to go to a hairdresser, my hair is really thick & frizzy although I straighten it, I've probably only ever been to the hairdressers a handful of times in my life, when I was 10 I went she washed, cut, blow dried my hair & I came out looking like Deidre Barlow (had similar glasses too) full on poodle hair, my uncles ex wife was a hairdresser so she mainly cut my hair in my teens, then her & my mum would sit & smoke/drink afterwards taking the piss out of my hair, I then had my hair done in my late 20's at a hairdressers, I spent the 3 hours (wash, cut, colour, blow dry, straighten) apologising for the state of it because its so thick & frizzy, I last went about 3yrs ago, the hairdresser was so lovely but I just felt so out of place, felt like everyone was staring at me & just uncomfortable, then felt they were probably talking about me afterwards about my awful hair, I suppose I could have a mobile hairdresser in but its the faff of washing my hair myself I can't be arsed with (I can't be arsed at the best of times 🤣) I just trim my own hair/dye it but want something different. Sorry for the long rant.
