thank you very much I called mamas and papas and they said they’ll give me a gift card or exchange as long as they still stock the item in store. Next were unsure and said it’s store policy so I’m going to try my luck tomorrow! Thankfully most of the next stuff has a gift receipt, only some of it doesn’t. I’d be happy with an exchange too just didn’t want to lose so much money, selling on vinted!

I'm so sorry, that sounds tough for all of you. I'm not a dog owner, but my auntie had a dog that went blind as well. It took him a while to be better able to navigate, but it was tough at first, there were stairs he didn't always remember...
I do remember her explaining that they were trying to help the dog learn to navigate the place better by using scent and also sound. Not entirely sure how it was done as I haven't seen it in action, but I remember her saying that it was recommended to them and seems to have helped

That‘s awful, poor dog. That must be so hard to cope with. Possibly a stupid question but did the vet have any advice?

That sounds interesting, I’ll look into scent. Sound is definitely not helping.
At the moment it’s nice and relaxing as she’s sitting on the sofa with us.
But today she had been a nightmare. She just wouldn’t settle so I’ve been at her side constantly to stop her bashing into doors and walls

Poor girl, does she wear her collar about the house? I've seen people do makeshift bumpers for blind dogs, it goes on their collar an whenever they get close to a door or wall it bumps off it an helps the dog know there's something there so they don't walk into it, but it's going take time for everyone

Yeah, they call it a halo. But she refuses to wear it. I thought we’d be able to use all these tools etc but she is not having it. Even after all this time.

Honestly, it won’t take long for your dog to adapt. Dogs main senses are their smell and sound. So just keep talking to her to guide her. She’s going to bump into stuff, but like anything she will learn. Keep furniture the same, keep as much routine as possible - same walking routes etc.
If she is still struggling I would get a second opinion on if it’s just her eyes, particularly if she’s bumping into the same things.
I didn’t know my dog had gone blind, just thought she was a bit daft! Forever walking into anything that is out of its usual spot like the hoover/mop bucket but she has a great quality of life so hopefully yours will too!

Our dog is blind, was born blind but we didn't realise until we got him home. He still occasionally bumps into things and he's been with us since Feb. But he had adapted. We don't move any furniture around or he finds it's difficult. But he gets about really well. I think just give it time x

Does anyone struggle with family dynamics/disagreements that never get discussed and can help me settle my mind? (If that even makes any sense lol)

I have two family members who I was close with, they have done numerous things to upset me that have been ignored until a few months ago when I told them straight they then ghosted me, they then ignored a few significant dates events for me so I decided enough is enough I'm done. One of them has been silent with no contact but the other messages me about random scenarios ignoring the events of the last few months, I have now muted her so at least I don't see the messages. I have also ignored the past few messages since I have put a line under it. She has since rang me which I have ignored but she isn't taking a hint!

Just message the person and tell them you need some space. If they still don’t get the hint then just keep on ignoring them

I remember your posts, it was about people not acknowledging your wedding anniversary and wasn’t it?

I know you might remember everyone’s dates but a lot don’t, they have enough going on in their life. Clearly this family member is trying to reach out to you but if you really don’t want any contact, explain that. People are not mind readers.

I think honestly is always the best policy here. It simply sounds like she doesn't understand how hurt you are - not necessarily in a careless way, because it sounds like she's trying to be kind and extend an olive branch to you. I think you're just going to have to explain you don't want any contact. It is a huge decision to make and she might not understand that's what you'd like out of this situation. That's a boundary you'll have to proactively establish so that she knows where she stands.

My MIL is currently getting divorced, this has been ongoing for about 2 years with still no resolution. Everyday she posts at least 3 or 4 “woe is me” social media posts. And it’s literally like the crap you’d post when you were 14 and your very first boyfriend dumped you, I understand its a shitty and difficult situation, but she’s starting to give Alice Evans vibes and it’s getting very awkward. At what point do we say “yeh get off social media”

How do you complain anout a dirty Dr Surgery? And can I do it anonymously?
I’ve tried to look online but couldn’t really find the info I’m looking for. Plus I’d rsther not the surgery know it’s me complaining in case they start being discrimatory

Can you write a letter to the practice manager?

Would it maybe be the NHS or the care committee? I think it's usually you try them direct first but then they would know it was you, so maybe trying the NHS would allow for you to be anonymous

I did see online to complain to the practice manage first via email. But maybe your right Inshould write a letter.
However I think it’s pointless complaining to them as they’d know how dirty and disgusting the place is.

I actually looked up yhe care commission but you could only complain about care you receive. Not the state of the Healthcentre. Honestly I’ve not been in ages but it was digusting. If it was a restaurant I would’ve walked straight out

I know there's health an hygiene but not sure if they are only specifically for kitchens, crazy a gp can be as bad as that though, seems a disaster waiting to happen if they do bloods there like mine does
