I missed a parcel delivery (royal mail) today - they said they would try to resend the next working day. I need it for tomorrow, would I be able to pick it up from the sorting office today/tomorrow? Google giving conflicting answers so didn't know if anyone knew for sure
Depends on them, am able to pick it up same day if I've missed it, my bro can't if he's rescheduled them then he has to be in/pick a safe place for the day he's rescheduled for, it's really up to how good/crappy they are an if they choose to go get it in the sorting office or not

Am glad you managed to get it 😊

Had anyone done the virtual races on the conqueror challenge website? They have a Harry potter one I was thinking about doing, wondered how easy/hard they are to keep track an complete, it does say it links with Fitbit but does it link easy enough, I assume you also get each medal as you complete them as well, or does it just send all of them out when finished?

I signed up for income protection just incase as there were redundancies at my work a few months ago and they said if there are anymore it won't be until next year. I'd rather just be covered. When they ask my yearly income I wasn't 100% what it was I put roughly what it is, probably just under what it is, I have emailed work to check what it is. Do you think the insurance company will have an issue with this? Once I find out I can call them to change it. Also it says when signing up is there any knowledge of possible redundancy are rumours enough for this to effect them paying out? Nothing official and just people worrying but I'm worried they'd use it to get out of paying so I'd be wasting my money paying for the insurance.
I think in one of the safest if there was redundancies though so I'm hoping I won't need it for long. Someone said they'd take voluntary redundancy if it did happen and at most I think they'd get rid of 2 people.
I just have no experience in this kind of insurance and reading online confuses me

Hello, I haven't posted in a while but don't really know where to turn and here tends to give good advice. Recently, my ex fiancé contacted me after a lmost 9 years of no contact. In their message they basically apologised for how things went down between us, then added that they hope I'm in a better place now and wish me all the best, ending it with sending lots of love. Just for context, my ex fiancé was very abusive physically, emotionally and other ways to me and treated me so badly. I know narcissist gets thrown around a lot these days but I truly believe he was/is.

I replied to his message, I don't know why, I think because I'm not the type to hold grudges with people and also knowing him, he would say well I tried to be the good person and reach out and she couldn't even reply back. I replied saying I appreciate his message of apology and asking if him and his parents are well. Then he never replied back. I just feel a bit confused why randomly almost 9 years later he would message out of the blue to then not reply to me and I find it quite weird. I've had exes, family, friends message months or years after talking before and there was always a line of communication happen.

Don't ask me why I care, I can't say why but it's left me feeling a bit confused what the point was to reach out and has opened up old wounds to be honest when I thought I was doing ok. Has anyone else ever had an ex pop up to not reply either lol or am I the odd one out? Sorry for the long message!
Hey, I totally get why you're feeling confused and kind of shaken up right now. It’s really hard when someone you had a serious relationship with, especially someone who hurt you deeply, suddenly shows up in your messages after so many years. It can stir up a lot of emotions, even if you’ve worked hard to move on.

Honestly, it sounds like your ex reaching out was more about him than about you. People like that often try to clear their conscience or seek validation without really thinking about how it affects the person they hurt. It’s really telling that he sent this message and then disappeared after you replied, almost like he got what he needed and left you with all the emotions to deal with.

You responded with grace and maturity, which shows how far you’ve come. His silence after your reply says a lot more about him than about you. Don’t let it make you second-guess yourself.

It’s totally normal that this has brought up old wounds, and it's okay to feel the way you do. Be kind to yourself as you process it. And if you feel like these feelings are weighing on you, maybe reach out to a close friend or a therapist to help work through them.

Just remember, you’ve grown and healed and you don’t owe him anything more. You've already shown more strength than he probably deserves.

Take care of yourself!

Thank you for your lovely message. Yeah, it definitely threw me getting a message from him after all these years and has stirred up all sorts of emotions, it's weird as I didn't think I'd be bothered by it/him and I feel frustrated at myself. That's how I feel, if it was genuine he wouldn't have gone quiet again after me replying, it's very weird. Anyone who's ever reached out to me after some time has always had a line of communication, so knowing him and the way he's wired up he was doing it just to make himself feel good. Shows he hasn't changed much and I don't have to put up with his ways anymore. I'm considering therapy as clearly there are some issues that have not resolved deep inside.

I do them! You have choices, you can input your data manually, or it can come from your wrist device (mine is Apple Watch) and you can also choose with some if you do the long or shorter challenge. Re the medal, you go through a checkout to get the medal, to make sure the address is correct etc. I’ve got a few medals now, I’ve had some issues with my watch sending date since I switched phone, but since I’m mainly using them now for other things than walking or running I’ve not made a huge effort to rectify that. You can also have several on the go at once. I haven’t done a Harry Potter one, I signed up for the scooby doo one thinking my kids would like it, and honestly it’s rubbish. I’ve much preferred the ones with actual map view you can nosy around, the scooby doo one is just a cartoon background with a line you move along, so I’d maybe try and look at what the potter one is formatted like before signing up as I would be disappointed if it was like the scooby one. The medals are really nice. I had one arrive broken and they just sent out another but it’s just been the one.

Thanks, as far as am aware I think it's just a map line you move along, it mentioned something about house points as well, can you adjust the time as you go? The harry potter one is quite long so I was thinking if I gave myself quite a few months to do it then if I was managing to do more distance than I thought then I could bring the time down? Or can you just leave the time you have picked an if you finish before it then it's fine?

Are the medals quite good quality as well, this one is quite expensive an I'd be disappointed if the price didn't reflect the quality of the medals, they look like steel in the videos but videos can be off

Not really a “problem” but does anybody else feel asexual the older you get? I really can’t be arsed with it all.

Hm yeah I don't know if that's cause I'm older or cause I'm in a long term relationship lol. I'm not very old though but just can't be arsed, I'm tired most days 😅

I;m also in a longterm relationship but since about 35 I've just not really had interest in it. It's enjoyable enough but I'm not really interested

I'm only in my early 30s and I'd say I've had little interest for like at least 2-3 years 😅 don't even have kids, can't imagine having that on top of everything

so washing machine broke down, laudry was piling up so bought one on a whim from facebook marketplace. Asked the seller if its works, reassured me twice that it does. however now that I've used it there seems to be problems. it makes a looooot of noise when spinning. plus i forgot to check if it has a shorter cycle, the shortest it has is 30 mins at only 30 degrees and the other options are 2 hours. disregarding th cycles have i been scammed cause of the noise of spinning.
update guys the button panel has stopped working, when i press n button nothing happens. where can i get a good affordable 8kg washing machine, does anyone have a recommendation of brand or product.

I’m not sure what they’re made of, fairly sure not steel, but they’re heavy and if you like I can take some pics of the ones I have? I think the price for licensed stuff is because of the license fee rather than them being special and better quality than the normal.
re finishing time, when you’re done distance wise, it’s over. If you’re miles behind you can extend it but it’s basically over when it’s over.

I operate on a use it or lose it basis. I switch off after a bit but then my interest comes back fairly easily with activity. If I didn’t have a man, I’m not sure how hard I would pursue finding one given the state of things atm though.

I think it often happens, especially to women, in long term relationships. Honestly not really sure how to help it tbh, my hormones are all in appropriate range so not sure what it could be 🤔

Thanks, I decided to go for it an signed up to the harry potter one, the only downside is my Fitbit isn't really matching on the app, I done 12k steps today, went onto the app an it said 9934 so come off it an went onto Fitbit thinking it was because maybe that hadn't updated, went back onto the app an it had went down to 3490 steps an wasn't updating to match, so I've disconnected it an will enter it manually at the end of the night with what my Fitbit says I've done, I've set myself for 35 days to complete my 70 miles thinking it should be more than enough time, but it's good I don't need to keep changing the time if I do more than than what I was aiming for

I'd love to see your pics 😊 they do look good but I was worried they would be like cheap plastic, so if they are heavy then at least they will be made of something better

You can manually add your distances if it’s easier and just turn off the selections in the app for what is allowed to post. You’d just need to update it each day. I’ll show some pics tomorrow of what I have.

I’ve done several. I really enjoyed them but sadly the website and app don’t work on my device anymore, though I still keep track of my walking. I didn’t link mine to anything, just inserted the amount I’d done and measured it in km not miles. Once you’ve completed (it was then max 18 months and if you don’t then you won’t get a medal); you enter your name and address and the medals are sent.

The postcards I got were really interesting. I did ones I’d have liked to visit, so Giza was my first and I completed a year challenge as well (set your own goal for that one).

I was forced to stop before I could complete my last one or sign up for the lord of the rings one they did.

The medals are good quality heavy metal and very well done.
