Thank you, it's later on today, I just don't want to be missing out questions an then the boss is like ohh did you ask this an I haven't, am going try an get some time with my boss before it to try an go over what I have but it isn't going be long I'll get as I've got a meeting right before these people come in
It would be good to get some time in with the boss or whoever will line manage this role to have a quick look at questions. Also the person who initially shortlisted these people as they may have noticed things they want you to ask. But even then it's not the end of the world if you need to contact the candidate afterwards to double check or clarify something before the final decision. You'll do great!

Thank you, that's good to know, I was thinking that once they go then I wouldn't really be able to follow up with more questions if I had missed them during it, it was my boss who shortlisted it so I'll definitely try an grab some time before then 😊

Thoughts on pulling sickies at work…?

So I’m a very goodie two shoes staff member, always on time, work hard, don’t pull sickies. But I’m pretty sure colleagues do.

A few months ago I had a couple of sick days because I just didn’t want to go in (I’ve been feeling stressed for a few reasons at work), but I said it was a cold.

Next week I have a meeting with a colleague who is lovely but intense. We’re working on a project together which we’ve been doing for over a year. She gets really into things into levels of detail that drains me. And she can’t let things go when she doesn’t agree.

If I pull a sickie we won’t have to reschedule it cos it’s a prep meeting for another one the next day.

So what do you think? I feel really guilty but at the same time I don’t think I can cope with any more of this! The project will be over soon but I’m mentally exhausted from it and her intensity.

I’m against pulling sickies. I got bullied my entire working life because my disability meant being away for appointments and hospital treatment, most I was forced to use annual leave (nhs) but my colleagues didn’t know that. Obviously thats just my opinion.

Your health both mentally an physically comes first, personally I'd rather someone be off rather than come to work A sick an pass it to me or B come in totally stressed/anxious an it ends with a argument or nothing gets done, or the work gets badly affected

Remember places will replace you within a week so take care of yourself first, your job isn't worth sacrificing your health over, is it worth talking to management about how your mentally struggling with her? Or are you able to talk to her an explain what's going on? Sometimes people don't realise how much they push an if you go with it they keep pushing, if it's brought up then maybe she will realise an calm down, so if you can't talk to her then let someone know, most workplaces have (or should) have mental health practices in place for employees

My strategy now is to just let her do what she wants. Sometimes she just doesn’t let things go and I can’t be bothered to push back on it. It’s not important at the end of the day. The project ends very soon and after that I’m not going to take on any more with her so I think it’s fine. It’s just this final push at the end. This time last year I became very anxious partly cos if the project. I did tell my manager that and I’ve let go of some work now. I think I’m worrying about that happening again so am trying to think of ways to avoid it. Hence wanting to just not go to that particular meeting cos I know she’ll be stressy and I’ll be exhausted.

If it's almost at the end I'd try to just power though it but definitely make it clear you are not working with her again, let someone else take her, I could not be bothered with someone like that an would end up snapping at them, but if you do take on another project an end up with someone like her then I'd recommend you speak up about it, some people just think they can get away with walking all over the top of others or constantly putting them down an no work is worth working with these people

Is she ND? If so I think you’d need to be very careful about how you then describe your feelings of not wanting to work with her again if you discuss it with your boss.

Not that I know of! Oh no I wouldn’t go to my boss to say I’m not working with her again. I just mean when future projects come up I won’t volunteer if she’s involved.

She’s actually very nice and we work together well for the most part. But we have different outlooks and she often can’t see mine so we end up going around in circles on the same topic which is just annoying and tiring. She also takes things much more seriously than me which delays things.

I'm hoping anyone who is great at shopping can help me.
I LOVE this tote bag from Primark- here. The handles are perfect and so is the size inside! But I feel it's too casual for work. So I'm looking for a professional looking bag basically with the long handles, similar to the primark one. Most handbags feel too claustiphobic under my arm pit haha

And I'm also looking for gold rope twist chain necklace that is 22inch and more but doesn't get thicker/bigger as the length goes on! Similar to the one I linked! x

I've got an aspinal tote that I love. They no longer do the specific style I have but they've got other ones with long handles. It's on the more expensive side but it's real leather and so well made. Will last years! There's a bright blue one in the outlet store plus if you use the first time buyer code you'll get a further 10/15% off

For the chain, would you consider an extender so you can choose the length? I’ve not ordered from here but considering it, the extenders look handy https://www.bohomoon.com/products/beverley-rope-chain-necklace

Did you want canvas for the bag?
If not https://assots.co.uk/products/abingdon-black-real-leather-lined-designer-tote-bag-for-women? This seems to have quite long handles or there’s one on H&M for £19.99.

Any ideas where 2 library books might be hiding in my house 😭😭😭

Zara had the exact same bag in leather the other day.

Quoting myself as I have just found them after 2 weeks of looking.

They were inside a bag full of books. Sounds like an obvious place but...

The bag is full of books I bought at a charity book sale 2 months ago. I haven't touched the bag since I bought them. They were at the BOTTOM of the bag underneath the books I purchased.

My husband has kept saying they are probably in a bag somewhere. Ergo he has put them in this bag, probably as some sort of protest about how many books I have. 😤😤😤😤

I have a mini pill question maybe you can help with.

I’m almost a month in taking cerazette mini pill. Not for contraception (I’m sterilised) for heavy periods.

Now the problem is, I’m feeling very low on it. Moods are tit. Headache is awful.

I want to stop taking it, I’d rather heavy periods than feeling like this. Feel anxious too constantly.

How soon and how long will I bleed for once I stop? Anyone taken it briefly and stopped?

Don’t know whether to just stop, have a withdrawal bleed and wait for my period

My experience of the mini pill was three months of bleeding, anaemia and feeling like I wanted to die. If you feel awful, I’d stop because it didn’t get better for me. Obviously my experience is my experience but waiting didn’t make it better for me.

I recently took the minipill but stopped, mid pack before my 3 month trial was up . I stopped due to bleeding and being moody. I stopped bleeding about 2 or 3 days after stopping taking it , then it was nearly 4 weeks before my period returned.

I had the yasmine mini pill and stopped taking it after a month, my body was fine pretty immediately.

You might be able to help yourself with heavy periods by not consuming dairy. It contains a lot of estrogen and other hormones, and some people react to it more than others.
