You also have 3 years to start development from planning so it could be that and the previous owners secured the permission. Plus, if they started the work within 3 years but didn’t finish they’re still allowed to finish. No way of telling unless you speak to the planning department if there’s nothing online.
Thanks, I had done a search online an managed to find other houses, some dating back to 2019 with their plans but this one hasn't come up on anything, but could be it's a different type of plan an its just not online, am more just wanting to see what exactly they are doing now because it's got giant block pillars outside the door half way down the path

hi,

so took my child to the dentist who was angry but caring i guess fella, annoyed that i didn't bring my child to a dentist earlier as he is 12 now. anyway he mentioned my child having a decay tooth and a baby tooth. he said my child will need an extraction, now because he was angry at the start i just wanted to leave as i have social anxiety so didn't ask which tooth he is extracting the decay or baby tooth. now that i'm researching about it it says extracting child tooth should be avoided unless necessary as it can cause speech problems etc. the appointment is on Monday what do i do.

On Monday, ring the dentist and explain that you didn't take it all in at the time and could they explain it again.

They likely wouldn't have suggested it unless necessary but you need to be fully across it to make the decision confidently.

I don't think it will cause your child any speech issues, the new adult tooth will come in soon enough. One of mine knocked his front tooth out at aged 4 so was without one for a couple of years. It hasn't caused a problem as he's got older.

Are they taking out the decayed tooth or the remaining baby tooth? I would have thought taking the baby tooth out at this time will only be a positive thing - so that his adult teeth will align correctly in his mouth. I'm sure the removal of baby teeth would only be an issue when speech is still forming, so that sounds are made correctly etc when they're learning to speak.

I'd think if it was only the one then it would be fine, I had four out at that age for braces, they weren't my baby ones though but my speech was fine even with having two at each side out

My aunt had a bunch of baby teeth taking out as a teen because her adult ones just weren't moving an again was fine speech wise, so they might be removing it because his adult one just isn't wanting to move until its out, once the baby tooth is out the adult tooth should move down quite quickly an it will help align his teeth

yh thats what i am not sure about either, yh if it is the baby tooth then im fine with them taking it out. online ti says supposedly taking out any other teeth e..g the decay might cause speech problems.

Don’t listen to Dr Google. If you want get a second opinion from a different dentist. But healthy teeth are really important. Not just for over all health but also self confidence.
I know you are anxious but can anybody else take your child for regular checkups? Ideally at least once a year. This way any issues are caught early and dealt with.

yh i fully understand the importance of it and will go ahead with it. the only reason this is his first time visit to a dentist is because i have been trying to get him an appointment via nhs but unfortunatly no places near me had any availability and had long wait-lists, and i just found an appointment for him. but hopefully ill deal with the anxiousness going forward as his health is the most important thing.

Tooth decay can cause other health issues. I would imagine any potential affect on speech (which I thought was for younger kids but may be wrong) could be overcome whereas the decay could be dangerous in future.

Could you get a referral to a dental hospital? Or do they not do that anymore?

I had problems with a dentist missing cavities which were visible on all my X-rays over a year. Ended up needing three root canals.
It cost me €3k. I had a specialist root canal dental surgeon do them.

I understand your upset and anger. It was really stressful and I felt so cheated and mistrustful. It sucks.
Talking of root canals… it looks like I need my first ever one 😭😭 I’ll be getting it on the nhs. If it fails, do I have to pay for the treatment again?! And they told me I’d need a crown as well. I want porcelain as it’s on lower jaw… if the treatment fails after the crown is done, what do I do?! Pay for another crown!!? 😫😫😫

Don't you just pay once for the highest "tier" of work you have done within a certain time period? https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/dentists/how-much-will-i-pay-for-nhs-dental-treatment/

Is 7:30/8pm too late to cut grass? I could do it now but I know I'll need to shower afterwards and I want to wait until tomorrow to shower as I'm going out Wednesday. I have dog training until 7pm tomorrow so was hoping I can do it after that

It shouldn’t be cut after 6pm because of risk of infection to the grass.
In terms of noise I don’t think it matters assuming you’re using a mower.

Thanks I'll probably still cut it I hate cutting it so if it's inge voted I'd hope it wouldn't grow well 😅

I'd say so long as it's done before 8pm then should be fine, unless your neighbours had baby's then I'd assume most young kids would be bed at 8pm or even a bit later since it's the holidays, my dad who's up at 5am for work is like a 9pm bed

Can you try and unplug it completely for a few hours? Like, take the plug out the socket and leave it unplugged for a few hours? Does it have a digital display that could give you an error code or something?

You wouldn't want to live near me. Our neighbour goes to church on a sunday morning and likes to do all his gardening before they go. I did get a bit cross when it was before 7am, and told him I didn't think it was very godly to inflict on people on a hot day when everyone had their windows open. He now waits until 8am..... and yes he's retired
