I used to do a 6 -2 shift so got up at 5am most days for ages. Winter was the worst as well as the first 10 minutes out of bed but after that it was good, especially finishing work at 2pm!
I did similar in my teens and used to see OAP's/obviously retired people on my early bus and think 'why the heck are they on here and not having a lie in'. After years of early starts with work/kids I get it, you just end up programmed to wake (and it sucks 😂).

God, I struggle to get up at 6.20am. Go to bed at 10pm ish. I miss my old job where I didn’t have to get up until 7.30 🤣 body clock now wakes me up at 6/6.30 but at least I can lay in bed and rot on a weekend instead of dashing about getting ready for work.

In my old job, I used to be up at 4.45am to get into work for 7 then didn’t get home till 7pm most nights. Nowadays I‘m mostly up about 6.15 but go to the gym three mornings a week because I much prefer going first thing to get it done. Mind you, I wfh now whereas previously I had a 45min tube journey both ways.

Yeah same 🤣
I'll probably do things like so to the supermarket on a Saturday morning when I'm retired too 🙃

Does anyone use canva an PowerPoint? I need to redo training slides to be a bit more fancier so I've been using canva to do it on, however they need to be downloaded an printed from PowerPoint, I can design an download on canva an even download as a PowerPoint but whenever I open it up on PP all the designs are off the page an the words are overlapping etc, I've tried so many different sizes on canva but still can't seem to fix this, an with 10 PP files to do with over 100 slides each in them I cant really be designing on canva then going on PP an redoing it all

Do you need them to be editable or just a hand out? Sorry I just realised the number of slides you are talking about wouldn’t work for saving as an image/pdf would it?

I don't think so, tbh am not really tech savvy with PP or canva, both are still quite new to me, my boss has slides on PP for training but has gotten bored of the design an asked to use canva to make them fancier

I can design totally fine on canva an it looks fine, but I need to be able to print them as 3 slides per page, so my only option to print like that is from PP, I just can't work out the sizing I need

I know this is probably nonsense and a bodge it Luddite type answer.
Are the slides animated? If not, could you screen shot when they are lined up properly and just put pdfs of the screen shots on the pp?

They aren't animated no, I'll try, PP doesn't seem to be user friendly when doing SS, it's just super frustrating that they all look perfect on canva an I've even looked up the size for PP slides an changed then to that size on canva an they still don't fit properly

Do you have a design template for the background? If so, you can edit the Slide Master and insert the image there as a background image for all slides. See here:

This will allow you to work with your design but still add text and stuff via powerpoint.

The idea with a screenshot is also a great one. Or you could download the canva design as a png or even as a pdf. The button for it should be in the top right, you can save it from there.

If you just want to print the slides, why not copy and paste the canva pictures into a word and then print them?

Thanks I'll have a look at all of that, an yes I've been using a design template on canva then copying an pasting the text onto it

I can't print from word because she wants 3 slides to be on one sheet of paper with lines for taking notes so it helps minimise the amount of printing, some are around 150 slides an there's between 6 an 9 in the training groups, even at 3 slides per sheet I can still be printing up to 9 loads of 40+ papers, so it's just been easier to use PP as it resizes then down perfectly so you can still read them

I am a student living with m parents in social housing. the council considers me a non- dependant to my parents so have set a rent price according to my age. anyway however as i live at home when i showed them evidence of me being a student they deducted my rent from the total rent as i am a student and they dont expect me to pay. however my parents rent is calculated on how much excess income they have and the rest the benefit pays. however he tells me that all the rent charged to him is my rent as i am a non-dependent living with him. i have explained to him but he is saying i am lying so when rent arrears come he tells me it my fault. what can i do.

When you say "him" who do you mean? Your dad or an employee from Universal Credit?

Are you a uni student or college / 6th form? Presuming uni if you're counted as non-dependant? I don't understand what you're saying about their rent being paid depending on their excess income - does he mean that the UC is reduced the more they earn (which is right) or that not all of the rent is covered by UC because you're a non-dependant living at home? I'm really struggling to work out what you're asking!
There are Facebook groups and Reddit subs that have some really knowledgeable people on for matters like this.

im a uni student, so we have a fixed rent weekly that the housing benefits pay the rent. so the council has an amount they calculate that we as family need to live off, then they identify the excess income and some percentage of the excess income my dad has to pay towards the rent instead o the benefit team. so yes the benefit is reduced by the amount of excess income, however as im a student the benefit is also paying for my portion of rent. but my dad is saying that he doessnt have to pay anything toards the rent and the rent letters we get is my fault, as i should pay them

Where does the excess income come from e.g. is it you or him (not asking for details)?

excess income from his income
Ok, so as long as you have no income (not sure on student loan rules these days - they were previously counted as income over summer for first and second years) and his is the only excess then the arrears are his problem.
