I think you should have the whole thing removed before getting an implant, at least my dentist told me that. I had a root canal years ago which wasn't done completely because the root bends slightly so extremely hard to fill it fully. I now have an infection starting in there so will have to get the whole tooth removed. It sounds weird getting an expensive implant when you might need to get rid of it if infection happens
Thanks.

A root canal is slightly different, but I get your point. I don’t want to put an implant and wind up having to remove it because of this.

That’s my thought as well but he said that removing the residual root could affect the bone structure. He removed 95% but couldn’t get to the remaining part. I will need to go to another dentist and get another opinion. I don’t agree with putting in an implant when a tiny portion of the root is still there.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I did think about skipping the concert but it’s Glass Animals and I really want to see them live.
Hopefully ASLEF call the strikes off

The only reason I can see is if someone prefers working out early or their gym is really busy otherwise so that's the time they can fit it in before work. But I'm the same, don't fancy going to bed at 8
Yeh that is her reason for doing it. I go at lunch or 8pm so it's quieter.

Can anyone recommend me a decent, good looking coffee cup that fits in a car holder. One that doesn’t leak, keeps coffee hot, has an opening for drinking that’s not going to burn the mooth off you or dribble all over your white jersey - and most importantly, doesn’t smell funky after washing?!!

I'm getting married next year to my partner of 10 years, things are abit rough between us lately, fighting arguing over everything, I've caught him 4 times looking up other women and on pornhub in the last 2 months ,even though he said he'd stop ,it's like it's in one ear and out the other. We had a big argument last night and I was ready to end things with him, but I just felt pressure because we have the wedding date picked- save the dates out and I don't want to let anyone down and be an embarrassment, but I also don't want to be stuck in this relationship because he has no love towards me ,we have talked and discussed things and he always said he'd change and work is stressful, but nothing ever changes , I love him to bits but I don't know what I'm holding on to 😪
If someone wants to change then they will, they will seek out help, if they don't then they don't want to change an its much better walking away from it before it's too late, people will understand an get over it so don't worry about letting them down

Weddings are expensive an divorces I'd imagine are even more expensive, it's not worth the costs when you know what the outcome is going be an its definitely not worth sticking in a bad marriage because of costs either

I've got an Emma Bridgewater chillys coffee cup and its brilliant, fits in the car and keeps drinks warm for a good few hours BUT it does leak from the lid hole, I've poured it all down me before now. Nespresso do some amazing ones, but they're too big for the car holders and have to go in the side pocket (I only discovered the other day that mine has a coffee mug slot, happy days, slightly ashamed to say that I've had the car 6 months too :p).

I've tried Google but I'm a dumb bitch apparently 🤣 my friend got a loan with a settlement fee of £4K. What is the settlement fee?
From my experience with the dodgy buggers who brought my student loan (so it may be total rubbish) it was offered instead of full payment. But like I said they’re really dodgy (as in barred from operating in the US for student loans these days) could be a load of rubbish.

Thanks that's good to know, it's just going be 4 little pawprints from my dog, I have them on canvas an hope they can copy them, don't want or need them big, just something tiny for me but I was worrying because I've heard of how bad the wrist can be
You might find that you lose a lot of the detail of the paw print if you want it tiny, and it will just look like a generic paw print. Might be better to have just one at full size if you want it to remain looking like your dogs? I've only got one tattoo but I've been doing a lot of reading recently about my next one!

Long story short a couple of weeks ago I had an argument with someone and kicked them out of my house. They left their ear stretchers here.
How long do I keep them before I throw them? They've not messaged re collecting them and I don't have their address to drop them off or post.
I don't really want to message them to arrange collection either
I think you need to message them or contact someway an then its 28 days you need to give before you can get rid of them, but you need to make sure you have given them reasonable times to collect, like you are going to be in at such an such a time on certain days, it can't be when your out or times they can't manage, if they don't message back it's not your problem but do keep the message saved of you sending them that they have 28 days to either come an collect or have someone collect them

Until then I think you are liable for them

Does anyone know any clever tips for making super scuffed/chipped car alloys look a little better? I'm trading my car in so want it to look as good as possible to get the maximum value for it, I now regret all the earlier years of liking to get too close to curbs while parking 😅
I really wouldn't bother tbh, we put a lot of effort in to getting our car ready for trade in and they couldn't have cared less, he actually said 'you should see what our valet guys do, they work wonders', as long as the car is in generally good repair I think you'll be good. Enjoy your new car 🚗 !.

Completed timesheets are not confidential, unless maybe specified in your contracts. However you certainly can make a formal complaint about this employee. That is out of order and your manager should be doing something about it.
Thanks, I wasn’t sure if there was anything in HR law/regs about it. A complaint is definitely being made!

I have an issue with a credit card I used for vacation purposes.

I made two transfers from my current account to my credit card account to clear the balance. The transactions were fully processed but the credit card balance still remains the same and didn’t reduce at all.

Additionally, I had set up a monthly direct debit 2 months ago to make minimum payments on the card and the direct debit never took place. I’m assuming it’s because I made prior manual transfers with amounts greater than the minimum payment but still.

Has anyone ever experienced this issue? No transactions were made in the meantime.
I'm not sure if that would affect it, the direct debit should still come out. I have a regular direct debit coming out to my credit card (over the minimum) but I paid an extra lump off as I got a payment from my pet insurance, and the direct debit has still come out also.
As the above poster has said - are all the payment details correct?

Other than Costa, where can I buy a Costa gift card? A physical one rather than email. Do sainsburys sell them?!

A random long shot

Does anyone own a Vauxhall Adam or a Toyota Aygo?

There's are the two I have my eye on, looking for pros/cons of them, are you happy with them, are they good cost wise, how are they with visibility vision (my last car was a Ford Ka convertible an when the roof was up it was incredible restricted seeing out the back) what are they like with hills? my work has a god awful corner hill going up to it

Also had my eye on the little VW beetles but they have discontinued those an I'd rather not have another discontinued car, just looking for something kinda small
I've got a 1.2l 2009 vauxhall astra and it does struggle with hills. I know not the exact car you're asking about so ignore me if not helpful. It's reliable though, got it as a cheap runaround and it's coming up to it's 3rd year with me.

I’ve realised that my driving licence has expired and as I forgot to change the address I haven’t had any reminders. Does anyone know exactly how much trouble I’m going to be in for this? Is it a renew and update my address now or a pay £1k and resit test situation? It’s been 6 months 🤦‍♀️
depends on whether it’s just the photo or your entitlement that’s expired - the date of your actual driving validity will be on the back of the card and if that’s still valid then you’re okay driving wise :) the photo just needs to be updated every 10 years.

Does anyone use canva an PowerPoint? I need to redo training slides to be a bit more fancier so I've been using canva to do it on, however they need to be downloaded an printed from PowerPoint, I can design an download on canva an even download as a PowerPoint but whenever I open it up on PP all the designs are off the page an the words are overlapping etc, I've tried so many different sizes on canva but still can't seem to fix this, an with 10 PP files to do with over 100 slides each in them I cant really be designing on canva then going on PP an redoing it all
Do you need them to be editable or just a hand out? Sorry I just realised the number of slides you are talking about wouldn’t work for saving as an image/pdf would it?
