Some artists will refuse to tattoo if you use numbing cream, and in an area like a wrist I wouldn't risk it to be honest. For all the time it will take you'll get through it, just have something to eat and pop an Ibuprofen an hour beforehand you'll be grand.For those that have gotten tattoos, what is the best thing to use for pain? I have a seriously crappy pain tolerance an it's what's put me off for years, I want a really small one on my wrist but I've heard that's one of the worst places for it, so is there anything out there that will help?

I was just in a tattoo place the other day and the reasons they listed were things like, can affect ink and line quality, infection risk, can maybe cause involuntary movements etc. I've had wrist tattoos (and latterly wrist removals!!) with no numbing cream and been fine. I've also got a massive rib piece with no numbing cream. Honestly you'll be totally fine.Thanks, is there a reason they won't do it? Or it's a risk? Don’t use lavender around cats, it’s toxic to them.I’m all for cheap so I’ll try that first. I also read they’re not keen on strong smells and I have some lavender bed spray that someone bought me that unsurprisingly I’ve never used so I may douse the area in that too!
You might find that you lose a lot of the detail of the paw print if you want it tiny, and it will just look like a generic paw print. Might be better to have just one at full size if you want it to remain looking like your dogs? I have tiny paw print tattoos on my wrist, I wanted my dogs paw print as I thought I may as well if I'm getting paw prints. But they said if it's small they can't do a specific paw print as it won't work as the above poster said.
