I thought Wimbledon rules were no children under the age of 5 allowed on the show courts? Serena’s youngest is only 3!
They bent the rules for her, natch🙄.
Thank duck she lost. Any more sycophantic voices and I'd have put my foot through the 📺!

Men's Doubles starts today. Dan Evans & Henry Searle have been stuck out on Court 15. I so hope Dan's career doesn't end there, although they are playing the no. 8 seeds. It's first match on at 11.

It looks like Dan Evans was given an on court interview after the doubles match, but we weren't able to hear it on iplayer, despite hearing general background noise and crowd applause at the end of the interview. Maybe there was a technical issue or just really poor from the BBC. There was a lot of support for Dan in the crowd, which was lovely, and he did acknowledge it. Such a low key end to his career.

Lovely words from Dan to say goodbye to his playing career

Great Britain's Dan Evans, speaking on court 15 after his career ended with defeat in the men's doubles: "It was amazing. Sometimes you take this tournament for granted when you're in the midst of your career and you're trying to get better and better.
"I said last night to my agent that I've really enjoyed just walking around, taking it all in and watching some of the other Brits and this week. It has been sort of fitting that I didn't really have to do too much so I could take it in.
"I'm all good. It is just emotional, isn't it? You just think of your family and all of the sacrifices that we've made. You live out your dreams here, don't you? This tournament is what I grew up watching. I remember getting home from school and watching Wimbledon, and I was one of the lucky few that got to play here in the end.
"Everything was worth it in the end. For anybody thinking twice about putting the effort in, I can tell you it is worth it. It hasn't been as bad as sometimes we think it is.
"I've enjoyed every minute that I've played on these courts."

I just love Evo. I really hope they show the speech on Today at Wimbledon.
I also hope the bigwigs in British tennis recognise what an asset he is and give him a job, something like widening access and getting kids involved in tennis who aren’t from typically middle class/affluent backgrounds.

It seems Serena was excused her media duties because she had tweaked her knee! 🙄
BBC News - Williams' knee injury leaves Wimbledon doubles in doubt
That explains why she wasn't able to say a word to her opponent at the net. Clearly in too much pain to speak.

Haven’t been able to watch the entire match due to keep flicking over for the football but this match with Babora and Mira is great. I like both so will be sad to see one of them go!

I like Mira but she needs to slow down a bit instead of rushing between points. Shame she’s out so soon.

Such a shame for Mira - think she’ll get better as she gets older and calms down the teen hormones 🙈🙈
