I don’t think it does. Musetti in particular doesn’t seem to be a massive fan of him. Maybe the others are closer because of their shared language and German speaker Sinner is a bit of an outcast?
yeah i think it’s tricky for people from tyrol (and the surrounding regions) because they’re so heavily german/austrian in origin and usually quite fair and so they don’t get seen as “real” italians (not even basing this on sinner himself, just other things i’ve read about it!) - it must be quite ostracising for him.
i find sinner’s relationship with his italian-ness really interesting though and wish he spoke about it more (though get why he doesn’t!)
Cobolli and Mensik have impressed me the most on the men’s side this tournament, I’d love if they could play the final against each other.

it wasn’t aimed at your post or anything at all, it’s just a thing i find interesting about him, especially with him also moving away from the winter sports that are more popular in that region. i would love for him to do a proper interview about it but

I’ve heard him speak German (with German interviewers, not ones from Tyrol) and he’s quite sassy tbh
that doesn’t come across at all when he speaks English for example and maybe also not when he speaks Italian.The 114th tennis player against the 6th in final is funny (but great imo, love an outsider). Edit : it's also great to see someone much shorter than "the norm" and with a different style
Apparently she was short of 2000euros during the qualification and stressed about paying bills and now on saturday she will for sure win 1+ million (2+ if she wins the final).

And yet she is still going to have to go through the qualifiers at Wimbledon due to the rankings being set prior to Roland Garros unless they give her a wildcard.
