What's the general view of Zverev in Germany? He's obviously very disliked on the internet for obvious reasons and is joked about for being a Slam-less bottler, but I'm curious to know if that crosses over into the real world.

People either don’t really care about him or are big fans. The media protects him a lot and ignores all allegations against him. He’s dating a famous German actress (using the term loosely here, she’s more known as a nepo baby and for being famous) so there’s that too.
German tennis fans are obviously super crazy about him and call him the best German player ever.
