Loving F&M's Smokey Earl Grey lately. Reminds me of Lapsang but not as overpowering.

A selection of my favourites, although I cant seem to find the camomile and spiced apple anymore.
For a normal, good old cup of tea then it has to be Yorkshire Tea. Nothing else even comes close.
I also like Earl Grey and Lady Grey.

Finally tried Pukka tea after endless discussions about it on the Niomi Smart thread. I got the herbal variety pack and I can't believe how mild all the flavours are? With one of the flavours the water literally starting going cold because I kept thinking I had to let it steep for longer because there was almost zero flavour. Pretty annoying considering the price.

I'm in Australia and the brand Nerada makes great (strong) peppermint tea

I am a Canadian and have limited access to British teas so I have to ask...is the Yorkshire Biscuit Tea as good as it sounds?? Do folks in the UK actually drink Yorkshire tea? Or is that an insult to all British teas?

I have so many questions. Thank you for this thread.

It kind of tastes like if you drop a sweet biscuit in your tea and swirl it around to be honest, I don’t like sugar in my tea though so other people might think it’s lovely

Honestly it smells lovely and comforting but the taste is just so strange definitely see if you can get some if you like sugar in your tea!

Best tea I tasted was from Whittards. I bought it as a gift for a friend then didn't end up giving it to them. £5.50 for 50 I think.

Currently drinking Extra strong Churchill tea.

I usually just stick with breakfast tea.

Lady grey is my favourite tea. I also like Ringtons but I have to put lots of sugar in it . The caffeine in tea makes me more hyper than coffee

Aldi do two really good versions of peppermint tea, one contains peppermint and spearmint and is very good value compared to other shops, they also do a teabag version with the string attachment which is just pure peppermint, both are really lovely.

Are these the ‘Specially Selected’ posh’ pyramid teabags a la Teapigs but for a fraction of the price?

I love the mao feng green tea from that range. They say the teabags are 100% biodegradable but I’m not sure if that’s true. So hard to trust brands on recycling etc.

I’m a green tea kind girl and I really like the Clipper Organic Green Tea for everyday. They taste great. Clipper say their teabags are now sealed without plastic. I think they’re a bit better than other brands but I imagine there’s still plastic in the bags somewhere.

I also love the loose green tea from T2 called Buddhas Tears, they have a jasmine taste to them but are a bit pricey.

I just had a cup of Lapsang Souchong, made with a teabag. It’s very smoky.

I love lapsang souchong, I know the general advice is to mix it with a regular tea (I like it with earl grey) but I find the intensity of it really warming and cosy.

I’ve never heard the advice to mix it!
I had some in a hippy stylee whole food cafe a few years ago for nostalgic reasons. I then decided to buy some bags. Someone I used to babysit for always had the loose type available in their cupboard to drink. It used to remind me of the way French cigarettes like Gauloises and Disque Bleu smell.

I drink twinings decaffeinated earl grey. Earl grey is my favorite, in a B&B 2 weeks ago they only had regular earl grey and it reinforced why I drink decaffeinated tea - caffeine makes me pee loads!!

When I first moved to the UK whenever someone mentioned white tea I thought they were talking about Chinese white

I grew up drinking herbal and fruit teas, never black especially not with milk, but living in London has totally opened the world of black tea to me

I am a Yorkshire fan, but not gold, it has to be the classic.

Also I grow my own mint in a pot, for the best morning freshness.

If you are in London or are happy to shop online and want good quality loose tea, check out The Tea House in Covent Garden, they have some of the best selection! My favourite is Earl Grey Indulgence. It’s got rose buds in it and tastes heavenly. Certainly pricey but brilliant for special occasions.

I love it, but I only have it when I want biscuits or cake and will have a cup of the tea instead.
Yorkshire Gold is the daily choice in my house.
