Tell me about it, he's been left with 3 so not quite sure what he's supposed to do with them!
Cats certainly hide pain well, only took him to the vet today as he's been drooling the last few days and had smelly breath and low and behold, he had clear dental issues seemingly out of nowhere.

Ah well, would do anything to make him comfortable and I guess a grand plus vet bill is just part of the territory of pet ownership.

He's most annoyed about being kept in tonight as he likes his nighttime prowls 🐈⬛

He's doing really well, thank you. He ate at the vets yesterday, ate when he got home and is happily eating today. Little fatty!

He was always a big fan of wet food so quite lucky, I guess 😅
They do recover very quickly from the dental itself. It's the sedation that has the longest effects.

My 13 year old boy is completely toothless now and he still manages to crunch away happily and gummily on his favourite kibble.

You just have to watch for regurgitation with both wet/dry food, especially if they're back and forth between their food/water bowls at mealtime. Sometimes the larynx can be sore and/or damaged for a while due to the tube.

The saga of my mum's hand continues ,

The hospital she went to in Galway a few weeks back phoned her this morning to say, We are sorry for the delay, but we have had to send your biopsy material on to somewhere else as we are unable to discover what caused the wound. As far as they have worked out, they are very sure it was an insect bite that caused the infection, but beyond that they cannot identify it .

So I joked to my mum that someone will be writing her case up for The Lancet. She was not amused, but her hand is slowly healing thanks to the lovely nurses in her local medical clinic who are looking after her :giggle:

You know when you don’t know whether to laugh or cry😬 We’ve had a paint disaster… exterior needed painting- the quote was almost €1.5k … ( it’s a dormer not a mansion) so hubby who is self employed decided he’d do it himself , and I love painting ( not ladders) I could do the bottom 2/3 - no problem - went well, great teamwork- one very long day - then we ran out of paint - big alcove/ porch at front left to do and a second coat on 4th wall - ordered paint- hubby finished it yesterday- I came home at lunchtime…. the wrong colour 🤦‍♀️ similar but a few shades lighter - shop had used a white base instead of medium 🤦‍♀️ also he had tidied around windows etc 😬 he’s fuming- what an absolute waste of time but it would be worse if we had to pay someone for another days work - of course the shop were apologetic for their error & will send out the right shade - but hubby is a bit peed off , grumbling - oh is he grumbling , next time we will pay someone he says ( next time I won’t change the colour scheme🤭) a freshen up would have been less hassle! It’s not a major problem but it could have been avoided!!! human error - happens to the best of us! any cure for grumpy husband 🤭

Also have grumpy husband...we decided to replace the kitchen sink...I won't go into the details but I've apologised to the neighbours for the swearing.....in days gone by it would have taken him a couple of hours but hip replacement plus hip revision means things take longer...getting up and down from under the sink. And he absolutely refuses to pay anyone to do it.
House needs painting too......

My sincere sympathies for the grumpy husband situation- but yay a new sink 😃 He’s not going to paint himself is he😬 - Hubby’s think similarly , madness to pay someone for something that can be done “easily” some tradesmen do take the pee, our neighbours paid a painter for 4 days… same house as ours, it’s not a 4 day job.
I’ve just heard hubby on phone to a customer- personality transplant- pleasant & helpful 🙄 - so patient, nothing too much trouble … yet the grouchy version will be in for lunch soon 🤣
Anyway in other news …God Bless the Dingle Gin offer that was in Supervalu recently, it helped
my “ earache” last night - will definitely medicate with it again tonight 😝

I have bottle of Garnish Island gin plus a bottle of Tanquery export strength gin that I found in the famine cupboard...but am on MJ so not bothered by alcohol at all......I might chance it at the weekend...I really used to love the g&t....
Can't donate blood now either because of the MJ.
Hes in his 80s ,so id really rather he didn't try to paint the house.
I'd almost offer myself but heights........I do make it into the attic for the Christmas decorations...not keen however.

How is the MJ going? I’m not a big drinker- but I gave up chocolate for new year so the comfort food is in liquid form 🥂 I’ve never had Garnish Island gin. Is anyone else feeling cold? I think the temperature has dropped ( yes H&M thread people the Ice Queen has landed) have a jumper on 🥶 might seek out the hot water bottle 🤭

Definitely felt cold today but also it's still humid here so I have no idea what the bloody hell is going on!

Got a cranial angiogram tomorrow so bricking it to some extent 😬

Mj going fine,no ill effects apart from no highlights in food or drink.
I made a Roving Haggis recipe and before id be into the tin morning, noon and night but one square a day is plenty.
its rice krispies, butter, sugar and dates . Layer of choc on top.
Ill have the odd half glass of red wine but only to be sociable with husband! Im playing by the rules,2litres of water a day, plenty of protein and fibre. 20lbs in 9 weeks I think..
Yes feeling cold, duvet back on bed. Mentioned electric blanket but not yet on bed!
