You know when you don’t know whether to laugh or cry😬 We’ve had a paint disaster… exterior needed painting- the quote was almost €1.5k … ( it’s a dormer not a mansion) so hubby who is self employed decided he’d do it himself , and I love painting ( not ladders) I could do the bottom 2/3 - no problem - went well, great teamwork- one very long day - then we ran out of paint - big alcove/ porch at front left to do and a second coat on 4th wall - ordered paint- hubby finished it yesterday- I came home at lunchtime…. the wrong colour 🤦‍♀️ similar but a few shades lighter - shop had used a white base instead of medium 🤦‍♀️ also he had tidied around windows etc 😬 he’s fuming- what an absolute waste of time but it would be worse if we had to pay someone for another days work - of course the shop were apologetic for their error & will send out the right shade - but hubby is a bit peed off , grumbling - oh is he grumbling , next time we will pay someone he says ( next time I won’t change the colour scheme🤭) a freshen up would have been less hassle! It’s not a major problem but it could have been avoided!!! human error - happens to the best of us! any cure for grumpy husband 🤭
Also have grumpy husband...we decided to replace the kitchen sink...I won't go into the details but I've apologised to the neighbours for the swearing.....in days gone by it would have taken him a couple of hours but hip replacement plus hip revision means things take longer...getting up and down from under the sink. And he absolutely refuses to pay anyone to do it.
House needs painting too......

My mum had a hospital appointment yesterday, and her hand is improving. She is currently under the care of two hospitals: her local one and the larger hospital in Galway. She had the appointment at her local hospital, and they are really pleased with her progress. Her hand is so much better and is now healing fast ,

She is still waiting for the hospital in Galway to get back to her with the biopsy report tho my mum seems to think it might have been a reaction to an insect bite she got whilst gardening.

Had a lovely day. Went out for lunch. Caeser salad with extra chicken, brownie with cream and ice cream and a glass of wine. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Husband is so delighted with my change in mindset that hes buying my MJ as a birthday present..for the rest of the 6 month prescription 😆
The Dingle gin opis gorgeous, I may well treat myself to a spare bottle if its on offer. Supervalu10 steps away from me! .its 46% dontcha know!
MJ has allowed me to lose a stone in 5 weeks.
Fantastic!!! That’s a great loss!

Thanks for asking @Doodlebug005 🥰

Was royally looked after by staff, couldn't fault my care at all. The procedure itself was a bit unpleasant but got the all clear and what was diagnosed as an aneurysm turned out to be an infundibulum, which is a slightly odd shaped blood vessel so that's a huge weight off my mind.

Feeling a bit sore but have nothing planned for the weekend so will take it easy ☕
Fantastic news ! What a relief for you😃

Definitely felt cold today but also it's still humid here so I have no idea what the bloody hell is going on!

Got a cranial angiogram tomorrow so bricking it to some extent 😬

Ugh, just had a phone call from a stranger saying he had a missed call from me. I told him it wasn't me, so I did a bit of googling, and apparently, there is a spam going around. Someone spoofs your number and uses it to cause mayhem, then moves on to another number,

I made sure I reported it 😡 I not going to change my number because had it for nearly 20 years and it would be a flipping nightmare
I remember that happening a few years ago. I had a huge argument with some lassie in Dublin because she wouldn't believe me when I said I hadn't called her...

I had a frog in my kitchen once, had no idea how the hell it got in 🤷‍♀️
Me too and it was at night. Then he buggered off behind the washing machine, I pulled the machine out only for him to go behind my cooker. Couldn't leave him as dogs would get him if I left him...so got a transparent container and torch. Lured him out and popped him into neighbours garden. Im pretty sure it's our now resident frog. We don't have a pond but he lurks in the cool old wall.

Tell me about it, he's been left with 3 so not quite sure what he's supposed to do with them!
Cats certainly hide pain well, only took him to the vet today as he's been drooling the last few days and had smelly breath and low and behold, he had clear dental issues seemingly out of nowhere.

Ah well, would do anything to make him comfortable and I guess a grand plus vet bill is just part of the territory of pet ownership.

He's most annoyed about being kept in tonight as he likes his nighttime prowls 🐈⬛

@Happy Lady - so true!!! Lets concentrate on the little things & ignore the real issues 🙄Bad motorway crash here today - scumbags evading the Gardai drove wrong way down a motorway and crashed into an innocent family on their way to the airport to go on their hols - the scumbags met their end- ( karma) Gardai here have limited permission to follow these joyrides ( a garda ended up in court for doing his job when joyriders being pursued crashed & died) so now carjackers drive the wrong way down roads as they know the gardai will have to stand down- when we were kids the gardai were respected & our parent warned us - don’t bring the guards to our door - There is no fear now - ( bring back truncheons😝) I hope the innocent family recover- rant over, i saw this on X ( more stupidity 🙄)
