After a year of worry, my Mum has finally found out about her hand. We were both quite shocked when we found out. The biopsy sample ended up being sent to Edinburgh because Galway could not find what was wrong,

My mum's tropical fish caused the infection. Looking back, she thinks she may have been nipped by one as she was cleaning out the tank. She has kept tropical fish for decades without any trouble, but I said our bodies change as we get older. She has to go back to Galway for the right treatment, but she is over the moon :)
Wow! Great news..bet you're relieved too.

Yes, we are all relieved. Tropical fish were not on anyone's list . We were convinced it was an insect bite, as my mum loves gardening when she can .

Ugh, just had a phone call from a stranger saying he had a missed call from me. I told him it wasn't me, so I did a bit of googling, and apparently, there is a spam going around. Someone spoofs your number and uses it to cause mayhem, then moves on to another number,

I made sure I reported it 😡 I not going to change my number because had it for nearly 20 years and it would be a flipping nightmare

I canceled my TV licence today and got a six-month refund,

kept me on the phone for half an hour, repeating the warning and what I will be missing out on etc

@Happy Lady - so true!!! Lets concentrate on the little things & ignore the real issues 🙄Bad motorway crash here today - scumbags evading the Gardai drove wrong way down a motorway and crashed into an innocent family on their way to the airport to go on their hols - the scumbags met their end- ( karma) Gardai here have limited permission to follow these joyrides ( a garda ended up in court for doing his job when joyriders being pursued crashed & died) so now carjackers drive the wrong way down roads as they know the gardai will have to stand down- when we were kids the gardai were respected & our parent warned us - don’t bring the guards to our door - There is no fear now - ( bring back truncheons😝) I hope the innocent family recover- rant over, i saw this on X ( more stupidity 🙄)

Also have grumpy husband...we decided to replace the kitchen sink...I won't go into the details but I've apologised to the neighbours for the swearing.....in days gone by it would have taken him a couple of hours but hip replacement plus hip revision means things take longer...getting up and down from under the sink. And he absolutely refuses to pay anyone to do it.
House needs painting too......
My sincere sympathies for the grumpy husband situation- but yay a new sink 😃 He’s not going to paint himself is he😬 - Hubby’s think similarly , madness to pay someone for something that can be done “easily” some tradesmen do take the pee, our neighbours paid a painter for 4 days… same house as ours, it’s not a 4 day job.
I’ve just heard hubby on phone to a customer- personality transplant- pleasant & helpful 🙄 - so patient, nothing too much trouble … yet the grouchy version will be in for lunch soon 🤣
Anyway in other news …God Bless the Dingle Gin offer that was in Supervalu recently, it helped
my “ earache” last night - will definitely medicate with it again tonight 😝

Hope you had a great day and the weekend was good too.
Belated Birthday wishes to you for last Friday!

Happy Birthday to you! Hope you had a wonderful time, oh you had gin- then you had a wonderful time😃 Do you have a supervalu near you? I see on our specials leaflet from 30th is Dingle Gin €25 !!! It’s bloody delicious- I know my hubby will be stocking up for upcoming anniversary, then birthday 😃 How’s the MJ going? Hope you can eat- my friend was on it but had nausea a lot.
Had a lovely day. Went out for lunch. Caeser salad with extra chicken, brownie with cream and ice cream and a glass of wine. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Husband is so delighted with my change in mindset that hes buying my MJ as a birthday present..for the rest of the 6 month prescription 😆
The Dingle gin opis gorgeous, I may well treat myself to a spare bottle if its on offer. Supervalu10 steps away from me! .its 46% dontcha know!
MJ has allowed me to lose a stone in 5 weeks.

I have bottle of Garnish Island gin plus a bottle of Tanquery export strength gin that I found in the famine cupboard...but am on MJ so not bothered by alcohol at all......I might chance it at the weekend...I really used to love the g&t....
Can't donate blood now either because of the MJ.
Hes in his 80s ,so id really rather he didn't try to paint the house.
I'd almost offer myself but heights........I do make it into the attic for the Christmas decorations...not keen however.

its been 30 here today, well, for the last few days really, we did have very strong winds the other day, which was weird because it felt like standing in front of a fan heater if you went outside.
I'm hoping this week is the end of high temperatures for now, as I'm so over it.

Had a go on my new treadmill and managed walking 2 miles before collapsing, the new trainers have definitely helped bring some balance back.

I ended up getting Adidas RunFalcon 5 and a pair of Under Armour, as they were both in a sale
