I totally agree, Mike's show is getting better and better. He has had some great guests on and they get so much longer to speak. I find it a very enjoyable 2.5 hours in a morning.

I too like Edward Hughes. He is getting a bit saucy as well!!! :ROFLMAO:

Am late to the party here, but is anyone else finding Alex Phillips to be very grating of late? Her romanticising of the Iran war, and likening it to a video game, just doesn't sit well with me. I end up switching off when her show's on.

Her general bombast and constant need to remind the world of her illustrious CV and the many countries she's lived in doesn't help either.

Alex is a massive gobshite In the same camp as Mike Graham and Kevin O’Sullivan. Shouty outrage, no knowledge, no insight, no analysis, no solutions, just bash bash bash about everything they don’t like. Any evidence of journalism is non existent.

It’s also very disconcerting watching her on the Talk YouTube channel because she is constantly scratching herself. She said she has eczema which I know is a horrible skin condition and i sympathise with her for that. But sitting there, on camera, absentmindedly scratching herself through an entire 3 hour show… nope.

I listened to a bit of her show today but not much.
She's very pleased with herself isn't she?
She spent ten minutes laughing at her own unfunny joke.
I switched off.

I've had a break from Mike Graham's youtube show too.
Too many Herons and clutter.
Not interested in Plonk of the week.
Kelvin McKenzie is ok but he's like knotweed and is taking over.

Also I wish Talk would get a different commercial.
Im sick of that Paddy McGuinness ad for holidays.
It's on every few minutes and I hate it.

Yes, he’s got his own YT that he’s still uploading videos on and a spat with Wootton, but I’d wonder whether Dan was on commission from ex-Talk presenters if he makes a deal of it.

The only thing I can think of for Dolan being removed is that he went against the grain and said he welcomed the Sussex’s back ?! Seems a bit trivial but who knows these days. None of the presenters are mentioning him … so maybe it something else?!

I thought he was usually anti Harry & Meghan.

They all seem to be launching their own youtube channels don't they?
I think they can avoid OfCom rules that way and are more free to say what they really think.

Apparently Mark Dolan left of his own accord so he can concentrate on his own Youtube channel.
According to Kelvin McKenzie's X account, anyway.


Prob more lucrative and certainly less restrictive. Not answerable to OfCom so he can be more free to speak his mind.

Duncan Barks confirms he’s the new full time weekend breakfast presenter. Safe pair of hands but he’s not going to set the airwaves on fire is he. Not that Dolan did either.

I think it’s slowly going down the toilet. Peter Cardwell is wasted in the evening slot, should be doing weekday breakfast or the 10am. Kyle doesnt know about politics and he’s doing the prime news slot on the station. Ridiculous. Hartley Brewer should go, she has nothing new to say. Alex Philips is embarassing being up Farage’s a permanently and literally shouting at the audience. Ian *snooze* Collins - who listens to that? Kevin O’Sullivan is absolutely useless, very much stuck in the Page Three era. It’s all just regurgitating the same old tropes, little in the way of journalism, no investigative stuff except Oakshotte’s Secret Migrant stuff.

Im moving more towards Times Radio. The women they have doing breakfast are nice enough if a little bit “head girl”, Stig Abel and the Scot’s guy at weekends are ok. Their 10am slot is usually entertaining especially Ed Vaizey. It just seems a bit more balanced and grown up. And they get proper politicians on for interviews which Talk absolutely fails at.

Kevin er Sullivan's show is dreadful. He's not a good broadcaster.
His "what just happened" is worse than his regular show. It's just shouting.

Petrie Hosken is boring.
Ash is a buffoon.

Jeremy Kyle is just, well, words fail me.
Too loud for eary mornings shall we say.

Have never liked Julia.

So, Talk doesnt really have anything left thats good does it?

I only listen to Talk when they have Martin Kelner back to stand in on weekends 1am.

I like Times Radio when I wfh, Hugo Rifkind 10am, and Fi and Jane from 2pm.
