I was so happy when they came to Middlesbrough after years of travelling the country for them. But getting home was horrendous! One single two carriage train and about 1000 people trying to get on it. No extra buses and staff were turning people away from the bus station as the last bus had left. Had to wait hours for a taxi as it was a regular Saturday night and already very busy. We managed to get a lift in the end and got home in the early hours but I know people who walked 10km home that night as they had no other option!

I've since moved to West Yorkshire and have been to Manchester and Leeds and got home in under an hour after a gig!
Omg so glad you posted this. We went to mcbusted Wednesday and spent an hour trying to get home no buses we didn't know where we were taxis kept saying ladies do you want a lift and I didn't know them from Adam. Luckily the security of the building saw us walking and lost and booked us a taxi

Wow prices are crazy now. For their reunion I paid 45 for front row. It's daylight robbery these days with concerts

So, I have a lot of history with take that and the last tour was the first one I’d ever missed since ‘92. I am confused by this announcement. They said last night on the one show they’d always wanted to do it again, does anyone know if they’ve ever said that in public. It’s being heavily advertised which they don’t really need. I don’t know, it just feels a bit of an odd decisions. I mean, I thought the circus was the best they ever did and in my opinion it was downhill from there

I actually thought their ticket prices are cheap!!! Me and the old dear have been to the Glasgow Hydro this year for Diana Ross and Lionel Richie. £150 seems to be the going rate. Plus £25 for umpteen booking fees.

19 years ago I took my mum to Hampden to see Robbie. I queued up at the Box Office which was in St Enoch Centre. They had gave out a ticket to the first 100 people saying that you were guaranteed 4 tickets - I was no 96!!! Plus then if you paid cash, there was zero booking fees.

A general admission ticket meant that you could stand or sit in an unreserved area. None of this selling every single seat in the stadium - including those behind the stage where all you can see are the screens.

Somewhere along the line it feels like we've accepted being ripped off!!!

I will try and get tickets but I need a wheelchair space for the old dear so I doubt very much I'll we'll be going.

Gary did mention it on an Instagram post in 2019 when he was posting about different tours.

I think they are taking a bit of a risk. I would say the 2009 tour and era was when they were at the height of their fame. And Jason is missing this time. I feel for those of us that experienced it back then, it could just never feel the same? I really thought they may have done a reimagined circus tour so it respected the 2009 tour but still felt fresh and more fitting with TT3. Because it will be impossible to recreate the feeling the 2009 tour gave. But I think this is also why they are going full whack with the promo. They really have a lot of tickets to sell compared to recent arena tours.

That said I am still really excited and will get tickets, and just enjoy it for what it is and be grateful they are still giving us tours.

I’m honestly in two minds about it. Some of the stadiums were on the last tour. I’m going to be really horrible but it was a total Prosecco fest the last tour I went to, and I couldn’t cope with that. My issue though!

I completely agree with you. It can not and will not recreate the magic of the 2009 tour. That completely unexpected moment of the elephant rising up was one of the best things I've ever seen. But will it have the same impact again? The routines will have to change to fit a 3 piece rather than a 4 piece band so a reimagined version would be better than an outright copy of 2009. Having said all that, I do love it when they perform the old favourites and I would rather pay to watch their greatest hits than pay for a tour of as yet unreleased music!

I am personally not a massive fan of stadium gigs as I feel the atmosphere is lost the further from the stage you get and I refuse to pay silly money to stand up for hours at my age🤣

Well, I’m excited! My attendance at TT tours has been sporadic over the years, I saw them in 1995 and 2006 but only really started following every tour from Wonderland in 2017 (which I wish they’d release on DVD!) So I’m thrilled to have the chance to experience The Circus, even though it will of course be different with them as an older three piece. Also, for the first time I have a friend who wants to come with me, so I’ll finally be able to fully take part in the ‘middle aged ladies on a party night out’ vibe that is such a staple of the TT live experience 😂

Spoke to my husband tonight about it, and we've decided I'm going to go for Manc tickets and we'll go camping that weekend nearby! Hotels were £200/250 ISH but we've found a campsite for £20 a night. He'll drop me off and I'll get a Uber/taxi back after the gig (if I get tickets!)
Hmmm after posting this, I saw the ticket prices.😯 I'm someone who goes to a concert to see the concert (ie, I ain't spending £80 to be at the back and barely see anything) and doing that for this will cost a fortune so I've decided no... Went to see Inside No 9 at Sunderland today and paid £28 a ticket, so have instead have decided to use what I would have spent at Take That for a couple of theatre visits for my husband and I 😍 We don't have a lot of spare cash between us, I'd rather use it for date days if I'm honest 🤷

Ooh off topic I know but was IN9 good? I'm going to Manchester next month and got tickets for £20! Looked at Sunderland and they only had seats up in the gods for about £70 which was a no from me😂

It was amazing, we were 2nd row in the gallery so very high up but still could see most of it. Sunderland was a lovely theatre too - the show is fantastic, you'll love it!

I've given up. I tried 4 times and kept getting Bad URL screen then kicked off for having a VPN (I don't). Tried a different browser and got straight in but no tickets left in the section I want. Refreshed hundreds of times and sometimes there were tickets which disappeared by the time I got to the checkout or they could only be bought in 1 or 3s. Can't try tomorrow morning so will just have to hope there's something left.

I've seen loads of people say they've got multiple tickets for multiple dates... Don't know how they managed that!

Just in case you've not seen, Amazon Prime have the Wonderland tour available :)

I'm also excited, I first saw then in 1993 and have been lucky enough to not miss a tour since. I know this version of The Circus won't be the same magic, but that's fine as it'll be a new magic! I'm going with different people this time, some that haven't seen TT live before and that in itself is giving me joy that they get to experience a TT gig for the very first time I get to witness their excitement. Bring it on I say!
