Daughter isn’t really a reader anymore but wants to get back into it. I thought it might be nice to buy a really interesting book that we’d both enjoy and talk about

this was the first book I thought of when I saw the thread title.I read Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro when I was your daughter's age and I loved it. I re-read it a couple of years ago and loved it just as much and it was interesting to see how my thoughts and opinions on the subject matter have changed over the years.
There is also a film adaptation of it (which I've not watched so can't give an opinion about) but if you do decide to read it then it might be nice to watch the film together as well.
I hope you manage to find something that you both enjoy!
Your local library will probably have a Teenage readers section which might be good for your daughter to have a browse through.Daughter isn’t really a reader anymore but wants to get back into it. I thought it might be nice to buy a really interesting book that we’d both enjoy and talk about
