Every version did bangers. The record company could have kept them going forever in the style of a franchise and just replacing people as the years pass like a Football team :D Overload, Hole In The Head, Red Dress, Push The Button, About You Now etc the back catalogue is great.
They had so many brilliant songs. I find it hard to pick my favourites but About A Girl (Jade), Red Dress (Amelle), and About you now are up there.

Thats so sad. I thought the Sugarbabes had some great music. Not typically cheesy pop.
It seemed like high school bitching got in the way and Heidi seemed like the sweet girl.
I imagine egos got in the way. Keisha and Mity looked cliquey at first then it seemed like Heidi and her.
At least they had some realness to them and less PR heavy.
Did any of them have a succesful solo career going?

They would be a good band for a successful reunion 👌

Out of curiosity, what is everyone’s favourite Sugababes song/songs? All Line-ups count.

mine would have to be:

Red Dress
Round Round
Denial
Hole In The Head
Freak Like Me
In The Middle
Freak Like Me and Red Dress are my favourite sugababes songs

I LOVE that song, so much. The harmonies. “oh I, oh I” just beautiful.

Oh and this from SWV! (fun fact. The guy saying “S W double V” is Pharrell!)

Omg that parody is SPOT ON! 🤣 I was all over that sound!

It reminds me of a Twitter thread that was something like, “10 year old me listening to a female r&b singer over a Darkchild beat with the most scandalous lyrics like this 👀🍿
Bahahahahahhaa!!!! 😂😂 like me with Jerry Springer, Jenny Jones, Ricki Lake and Maury, I used to purposely skive off school to watch those when I could , was introduced to topics I was not supposed to be WAY earlier than I should have been 😬

Didn’t recognise the song by the title but as soon as it played recognised it and also instantly recognised pharell’s involvement !

Forgot to add to an earlier post @Sideboard Bob yes I loved shampoo too, both their albums were brilliant and ahead of their time but I also just loved “Uh Oh, Were in trouble” I remeber it was the theme song used for the power rangers movie who I were also obsessed with as a kid!

Did they do Baby Bring it all to Me? Loved that song
Yeah that's them!

Following in the footsteps of N Dubz announcing themselves getting back together....It will be a bit weird because Siobhan was only in the original line up about two minutes before being replaced. Will they sing songs they may not have been part of or will they just stick to the songs they did together in the very early days?

All great songs. The more I think of the franchise idea the more I like it and would find it interesting as it's not really been done before with a group to make it last say fifty years with no original members and constant line up changes. It would be amusing in say thirty years or so time seeing three totally new Sugababes singing a fifty year old song like Overload and seeing how it compares to the original.
There's an Irish group of singers called Celtic Woman who have constant line up changes. There might be only one original member left. They've been around for years and are huge in the States.

I think their first album was the best, so that's my favourite line up. Got my tickets to see them and know they'll be great. Hope they do loads of the old stuff with Siobhan, who is seriously hot these days. They all look great, in fairness.

I Loved their music but the first line up never had any real personality and you need that too be marketiible kisha and mutya gorgeous vocals and looks but not much personality same with Siobhan.
They did need Heidi although her voice was the weakest she brought sex appeal warm personality and pop.
The band didn’t really get going until she was apart of it it was a pivotal moment. And it paid off they won a Brit and made number one 8 months later.

Anyone seen the story about Keisha saying she was kidnapped at age 16? It's odd, they do 'kidnapped' in air quotes like it might not be what it is being said to be.

A rather crazy coincidence that this story came out a day or two before Duffy's.

Not trying to suggest horrific stuff doesn't happen, we know it does on a daily basis unfortunately and with the music industry being what it is I see it being tragically easy to get into the most frightening, dangerous situations.

Keisha says she is writing a book where she'll speak more about it. As someone who has followed the Sugababes since Overload came out, I'll read that.

Think they all had issues with Keisha? Didn't people think Mike Skinner alluded to Mutya being a crackhead
It wouldn’t surprise me if Mutya got bullied out too. She has mentioned about 3 reasons why she left. For her daughter, for her mental health, because she wanted to etc. I never knew he alluded to that. I’ll go and have a search.
