This thread smacks of racism and double standards, people saying they’d rather follow MOD than SMS despite MODs abhorrent and very intentional actions. I’ll admit SMS has been tone deaf a number of times but other than that, so what if she wants to parade her body around the internet? I wouldn’t personally but, her call and it’s not hurting anyone. She’s not a celebrity, she’s not received PR training and been taught how to handle life in the (semi)public eye.

you’ve got some really awful people out there who are scamming people in the name of feminism and being a girl boss (Sarah akwisombe, jen stanbrook to name just two). Masses and masses of coaches coaching coaches coaching coaches and preying on desperate and often vulnerable people and influencers employing downright bullying tactics. The vitriol this woman’s getting in comparison makes me think you should really question whether you’re opposed to a woman expressing herself in a way you’re not comfortable with or a woman of colour doing so.

no, I’m not SMS, I’m not even particularly a fan of hers but this woman is potentially going through a separation which is shit no matter how financially comfortable one is and I’m very uneasy with the comments being made about her (the likes of which I’ve not really seen on a white influencer’s thread but I don’t often follow many of these threads).
GTFOOH. No one, literally NO ONE has said anything racist about her on this thread, you utter melt. I, for one, wouldn’t allow it. No one here would. Try again; you’ll fail again on the crying bigotry front, and hard.

And to add my two cents, I’m biracial, just like Natalie. Not that that gives me a ‘special license’ to discuss her that other ethnicities don’t - we are analysing her own vast, self published instagram output and behaviour, which people of all creeds and colours are entitled to do. And we are doing it away from her feed, not interacting with her, on our own tiny corner of the internet. If you dont lke what we say, dont come here. Have a blessed evening.

I used to enjoy her lives that she did walking her dog, inviting other women to share their stories and experiences. Her approach and content changed and I unfollowed.

It's just so awful...parading around in gifted clothes that could feed a desperate family for the best part of a year! Her response of "I was poor when I was young" was just as insensitive at the bloody hashtag. You're not now love...and you're making a game of it

I’ve unfollowed. She’s annoyed me for a while with the constant tit pics dressed up as ‘body positivity’ and ridiculous ‘finger friday’....but the Aldi campaign was the icing on the cake. Like others have said her decision to do it was poor and her so called apology was pathetic. I’m done and my grid is already better for it 😂

Completely agree that response was not required. Because if that was her experience as a child, living in poverty or on the breadline, then why oh why would you think posting that dreadful advert was a positive thing.

If she/they had used it as £25 challenge as awareness to not only over consumption but to help people all year round feed themselves and family as well as possible on minimal budgets it would have been such a great campaign. I was led to it by a newspaper advert but hadn’t seen the content branded as poorest day. Instead it has come across as snobbish and patronising! I just can’t get over how bad it is!

Buzzfeed have picked it up!

Do you know what, wouldn’t it be just so fucking brilliant if they actually asked someone who literally lives that challenge to do that ? Not ask a bloody “influencer”. Whole thing is a shit show.
I expect that has been said further up the thread 🤔 sorry if so!!!

She isn't a nice person, her reaction to this proves it. She's rude on stories and really believes she's something special. She gets her tits out for likes.

She seems to be going into some sort of exhibitionist free fall since her split. She’s always been quite extroverted but gone is the woman who walked her golden retriever in the woods and talked to her audience about her and the family’s struggles with her daughter’s condition and resulting degenerative visual impairment. Gone is the woman who talked about books and fashion with body and sex positive content mixed in. It is now 100% sexually explicit content dressed up as bopo (sorry) sex-po content, 100% of the time. It feels like the IG version of the newly divorced person going out and flirting with anything and everything every weekend. VALIDATE ME

This woman pisses me off. Hate posts which say ‘I might not text back or remember to send people birthday cards and forget my best friends kid birthday I’m selfish but I am a woman and this is me I won’t apologise’. With the shoe on the other foot I wonder how she feels when people forget her kids birthday and don’t make a fuss of her on her birthday or reply back to her texts despite having time to post on Instagram for strangers and vanity bet they feel really ducking special. I tell you why she hates people in her latest Friday finger because you reap what you sow & sounds like she makes her mates & other people feel shit too, so karma

Fyi SMS (Yes, it's pretty obvious it's you, you sad fuck), I'm a woman of colour. I would have exactly the same feelings if mod was sat on Instagram with tits and fanny out pretending to educate woman about their own bodies.

She seems fizzing with excitement at the thought of being controversial (shame she can't spell it). Appears it was all a build up for an AD after all.

Surprised this cretin doesn't have more written about her on here. She's so far up her own arse. And the poverty porn is absolutely disgusting.

Imagine your mum talking to 1000s of people about wanking. Her kids must be absolutely mortified. And she obviously knows this because she mentions it in her podcast with Mother Pukka but her ego and obsession with herself is more important. Twat.
‘Babe, go and touch yourself - it’s yours’

I get the sentiment but ..

I suppose when you've sold everything off - life, marriage, kids, house, self - what's left to sell? Selling her fanny on the gram might feel novel and risque to her but it's really not. It's actually very anti woman if you have to stoop to these levels. Can you imagine any successful male Instagrammers posting dick worship on their grid ! Vulgar and cheap.

I literally don’t know how much longer Style me Sunday can go on. Her content is so boring it’s by numbers. Friday finger, a story walking in the woods, sexy picture of bra & stomach, dance class. I know that if I didn’t look at her page for a year I would come back and that’s all it would be. Yawn. Also don’t you notice these instamums only seem to go out with other instamums and have not many real life friends. Maybe that’s why they are craving attention all the time because they don’t have friends. As they are too into themselves!

She had a hashtag which read something like aldipoorestdaychallenge and it’s not there anymore??. The whole finger thing is ridiculous. Maybe she was doing it to herself in the mirror. Because really she should!!!
Seems like she removed the hashtag from the post but it’s still on all of the stories she posted.
Her responses in the comments section weren’t too great either.

She lives in Wanstead in a house worth over a million and her husband is a trader at Goldman Sachs (seriously, I live locally and have met her). She’s never had to work. Arrogant and unlikable in real life.
Yet Aldi chose her to tell us how to survive on a budget. This is why the influencer thing is all rubbish.

Conjecture. But I think she tied herself to the wrong crowd of instamums because that’s who she related to the most, she thought she was one of them and and is now finding out that her being there in the background of their media work was beneficial to them more than her.
