She was great with Jamie and Chris Ramsey, both weaker dancers that she managed to get far by playing to their strengths and just having fun. I don't know when or why it happened but at some point she just seemed to give up. Her choreo with Harry was so lazy. I really like her as a person but it's time for her to go if she's not willing to put the effort in. I'd love to see her and Katya replace Shirley and Anton as judges.

Just what I was about to say. I have always liked her, but she let both Harry and Eddie down, imo. They were capable of a lot more than what she gave them to do. I missed the show the weekend that Harry was eliminated. But I saw the dance off and a lot of it looked like really easy peasy stuff that she was probably used to doing when she got someone less talented. She has been coasting for a number of years now tbh.

I care more about the pros than the contestants, because I love dancing more than I love most random celebrities (Shakira and Mason Mount would tip the balance). I watch the show primarily to see the routines, whether the competitive or the professional ones. I grow fond of some contestants, or I was already a fan (Rachel Stevens til I die), but for me they're incidental.

I'd be really sad if Michelle isn't in the series anymore 🫤. And Luba, I love her a lot.

And we'll still have Karen (and hopefully Nancy) if this news is true, but I'm someone who was a little brown girl once upon a time, a girl who watched things like Come Dancing, and saw ballroom dancing as a beautiful pursuit for white people - I loved the look of it, but I didn't think it was for people like me (fortunately I eventually took lessons and changed my mind!). I'm now a grown up brown woman, and I know the impact on little brown girls seeing exceptional dancers like Michelle and Oti (my niece being one of them).

I think, for all its faults, Strictly has done a lot to make the concept of dancing more accessible to a lot of people, and I hope they don't lose that with casting decisions.

Katya not leaving according to the sun

In recent days, Strictly Come Dancing has been in turmoil as one by one professional dancers have been axed from the show.

But Katya Jones has come out on top as she is set to sign a new contract which will mark her 10th anniversary on the glitzy dance competition, the Daily Mail can exclusively reveal.


And the say this with sources claiming all of the Strictly pros are already aware of their fate.

Katya seems to get the very best out of the most challenging celeb and makes it past more weeks than is ever envisaged. She brings out the celeb's personality, as she did with Ed Balls, I mean who would have thought he would have encapsulated the audience as he did, when he was an ex-MP and chancellor.

Vito is getting way past his station by now, but will always get praise from his pal Shirley. He is a good dancer but his outside involvements and SM posts just give the most total ick.

Am scrambling to think of a pro who hasn't given the ick at some point. Poor Luba, one of the kindest and safest of them all, but it gets her nowhere, such a shame.

The Mail is reporting that Angela Scanlan is in talks to take over from Tess/Claudia. Apparently there will be ‘chemistry tests’ after Easter, alongside Zoe Ball and Alex Jones.
So it seems it will be another month or more before an official announcement.

I agree. I think the only thing I could think that may be annoying about Michelle is that her besties Nancy and Dianne are annoying. I think Michelle is really inoffensive.
