I can't speak for the person who replied but the 'Does she want her child to call a nanny mamma' comment is very outdated IMO.

Diane can choose to do whatever she wants. What the rest of us did or didn't do or did or didn't feel is irrelevant.
To be honest I only put the bit about the baby calling the nanny mamma in because I am just reading The Housemaid's Secret. Sorry about that. Its a great follow up by Freida McFadden. I am not saying Dianne should stay home and look after the baby. I am actually saying she is lucky to have the choice financially. And I do not begrudge her that either, but one day she may regret things she missed.

I think all reports of new hosts are just informed guesswork by the press.
I‘m now reading that Strictly wants to return to a male/female host.
Male role is between Bradley Walsh, Rylan and Johannes.
Female role is between Emma Willis and Zoe.
No mention of Angela Scanlan.
I wish they would just get on with it and make official announcements about the pros, hosts and judges.
Bradley won't do it he's busy enough and doesn't do live TV. He likes pre recorded like The Chase where he can film a week of episodes in a day. Rylan and Johannes doing live TV would kill ratings.

I agree about Amy. JB came to life when he started dancing with Lauren. The issue is she will have to go of her own choice unless the BBC want to be portrayed as the villains who sacked a Cancer survivor.
Well she might leave if they give her something instead e.g. ITT (though I don’t think that’s a good idea either TBH).

I find that a bit sad if it turns out to be the case
Imagining Zoe Ball and Alex Jones are there in the mix with decades of experience presenting live telly, both smart funny capable women surely just sign them up.
Scanlan being the big draw that they then have to test with to win the other slot is a bit of a grim thought.
I have always like Angela’s style of presenting until she took over from Tom Allen on The Apprentice after show. I watched for 10 minutes. It’s abysmal. IMO of course.

Remember Simon Rimmer posted about it on insta? I wonder if they just decided to confirm since once he posted about it, there was no real denying it.

But if she wants to come back then what's the issue? You can't just get rid of someone because they decided to have a baby. Also, Nadiya had a child when she joined the show, her little one must have been very young when Nadiya joined and she was able to make it work.
Im sure they all wanted to come back but it doesnt always work that way
All im saying is this would be the opportunity to let others have a proper go
9 years is a big acheivement there would be no shame if she or producers decided it was a good time to step back

It’s me, I said that. And yes, it was the nanny comment that seemed routed in the 1950s. And it doesn’t matter what gender you are saying it, in fact it’s actually worse if you’re a woman as why are degrading mums who pay for childcare?
The nanny comment is not routed in the 1950's at all. It really was the throw away part of what I said. It is actually from the book I am reading The Housemaid's Secret by Freida McFadden a very modern book by the way. It was not really meant to be taken as seriously as you have. Dianne is lucky to be in a financial position to have a choice, and to have a career she likes. Its not quite the same to have no choice with a job you don't. I certainly do not begrudge her either she has worked hard for her career. I said my comment would be controversial. What I really meant was one day she might look back and regret what she has missed.

I feel like with Gorka it was probably a bit more of a blurry situation - in a way, it wasn't him just deciding to leave while they'd have had him back, but also not them straight up axing him. I imagine he got a little bit of an ultimatum this year - either staying as a pro properly (& likely getting a partner too as he's still popular) or going off to Spain again, so he chose the judging gig, which likely pays more and is way easier to do.
Is there there still a story around about a pro or pro’s and ❄ or has that disappeared?

There’s being happy for your friends and then there’s this. Ffs Vito calm down 🤮
I think at the moment Vito is in pre book launch publicity mode which is why he will use anything or anyone to get a 'story' for his socials. Just as in the rather sad TT doing the hip exercise in his undies, which actually without any photo shopping makes him look rather slight and un prepossessing. The thoughtful stories that have appeared recently as below. All can be explained away by, I have a book to big up so aren't I a wonderful human being. He is a wonderful dancer not sure he is quite what he would like us to think he is as a human being. There are a few cast offs along the way.

Where does he find all these quotes. Perhaps that will be his next book

Are the threads still on Reddit, I'd like to read all this! 🙈😅
a lot of this was said in PMs but they do pop up out of the woodwork on a new Reddit account every now and then.
Little-L91 is the current one but I’m sure he’ll delete that soon enough…

Are Nancy and Neil still going to be on the show? I'm confused because I thought I read somewhere they were staying on as backing dancers, but maybe my addled brain made that up!
