No, it appears to just be a Sun journalist saying that she’s ’been told’ that EW ‘has been offered’ the role.

EW may indeed end up being one of the hosts: her name has been mooted from the very start, she’d be a great fit, and she’s got the ideal background. But I’m not convinced this Sun lass has some exclusive inside scoop; it’s likely just a well-calculated guess for clicks, seeing as EW has been one of the frontrunners all along.

And considering how important this show is to the BBC, I imagine their chemistry is the strongest in the tests they've done.

If it is chemistry between the two co presenters then it would have to be Rylan with either Emma or Zoe as he has worked with both successfully on Big Brother and ITT respectively. I love Rylan but he can get a little bit near the knuckle with his humour and he does tend to want to show off a bit. But that is part of his character and I think he would be excellent talking to the celebs after they've danced. He can be very empathetic. Emma is very calm and Big Brother Live was quite a show to present, lots of links etc. However Strictly production seem to be able to get things wrong successfully. Acting too late over the last couple of years when scandal happens, and it is a shame that the most successful part of the programme, Claudia, is leaving

I think they would be a good combination Rylan has the gift of the gab and can think on his feet
I know he's a bit marmite but I like him
Emma is a great presenter, like someone else said she has dealt with all the Big Brother contestants !!!

I she her and think she is a very good presenter but she is quite irritating on Saturday Radio 2. Very shouty and try hard

I don’t mind Emma, but that’s probably because I dont watch anything she’s on. She does seem pretty competent.
I know its pretty much just me but I cannot stand Zoe. I find her unwatchable and unlistenable.

Not really sure who would be better. Zoe Ball maybe, Rylan would be good. But for the live TV experience Emma has, she is definitely one of the best options the BBC could go for. Zoe and Rylan being the other two. Any combo of those three will work imo.

Emma and Zoe would be a safe pair of hands given their experience, which is what the show needs really. And from what I've seen from them, I think they'll manage to keep the focus on the celebs and their pros instead of making it all about themselves. I'm watching Strictly for the couples and the dancing, not to be entertained by the hosts dropping jokes constantly, so I'm completely fine if those are the ones they've chosen.

Dont wanna link to the rum but Zoe has confirmed on her podcast coming out tomorrow that she didn't get the SCD job.
Article also says Rylan missed out. quite shocked as i'd have put money on 2 from Emma/Zoe/Rylan
