Honestly I think Gorka's time was naturally coming to an end. I didn't miss him last year.

No. I literally read the result and move on. I can't be doing with the overly dramatic drawing out of the results like x factor and all the cheesy guff in between. Tbh I was bored by the whole thing last year so gave up on most of the live shows as well by the end.
Very graciously phrased. I didn't notice his absence last year tbh, and I hope that his new career goes well for him.
I think he was one of the ones who got the memo that making it a good experience for his partner was what counted. Working to their level, whether that was someone damn good, or someone who was likely to be first out.
Very sad to see Gorka go. It will not be the same without him, he has danced some wonderful dances over the years. If he has to be replaced I hope they don't go back to the productions love affair with Italian Latin Dancers, but look around the world for the best of ballroom.

As someone else posted he gave the duffers a fab experience but also produced some incredible routines with Alexandra, Maisie and Helen.

Gorka was one of the best pros, he never made it about himself. I will miss him, as the normal pros who know the show isn't about them are dwindling in numbers now. But he's a good judge on the Spanish version so good on him for moving onto a bigger role. Maybe we'll see him back one day as a judge.

he really did - and arguably he should have won at least twice. he should be remembered as one of the best male pros tbh; he never made his duffers look silly and was a great teacher. i hope he does come back as a judge one day!
