What‘s wrong with her being there without him? She’s an independent woman with her own career and could be said to be the far more successful part of the partnership. If Kevin was on the programme on his own would anyone wonder where Stacey was?
He’s been on tour for months, so probably away

I can’t abide Angela Scanlon she just grates on me.

She’s been on the Chase so hopefully not going to be hosting on SCD.

I’d like Zoe and Rylan.

ITT is a dud neither can present for toffee…

Yes, the reports I’ve seen say that she reached a settlement with Channel 5 and ITN (because that’s who she was suing), but that Dan Walker wanted to be able to defend himself at Tribunal against the allegations made about him as part of the case (well, so he says - from a safe distance, now it’s all been dropped).
That raises more questions than it answers in a way - Dan is all gung ho and “let’s go to court” - but the TV channels don’t want to do that (why not?) so they settle and pay her off. Maybe they didn’t think his version of events would win out in court? They would have had legal advice on this.
But since it’s been settled we’ll never know now. I suppose if DW is now quietly dropped from future projects, then we have an answer of sorts ..
Sounds like its PR that Dan was ready to go head to head but I believe it was settled because it was career damaging. The TV Channels paying off it off but that could be via his future earnings. Him thankung colleagues is simply to give it weight in his favour but he may nor have wanted them to know. I like Dan Walker but I know how TV image is just crafted by PR mainly. I think Dan Walker is well likwd hence TV show has saved him but sasly for his colleague it looks like her case was about getting money than justice. Not that I believe that as she may have been pressured to drop it. She will be high risk for future jobs since dropping it there will be doubters in paticular as Dan Walker is very popular. I wish her luck in getting back into TV as I dont doubt it was so stressful prepping fpr a court case. Kaye Adams is another host who similarly has supposedly had some Misconduct but its likely that will stay inder the radar as these are powerful figures. Dan seems a Mr nice guy but Kaye I feel she couls habe entitled personality as Loose Women and ITV seem.to treat presenters like Demi Gods.

I see Layton has been nominated for a Tony award for his performance in Titanique. So pleased good things are happening for him.

Yes chuffed to bits for him! It's a good year to be British on Broadway - Danny Radcakes, Sam Tutty, Mark Strong, Luke Evans, Soutra Gilmour... ❤

And there is confirmation that they will be announcing new pros at some point as well.

Sadly, all theme weeks also back, Movies, Musicals, Halloween and Icons. And Instant Dance coming back.
I actually kinda liked the instant dance last year, the chaos of it all was amazing. I don't think they need movies and musicals weeks though, one or the other.

I wonder how long before they announce new pros?

I liked instant dance, the other themes are the tired ones.

We still need a chance of non elimination partner swap - once a week someone swaps and gets partnered with Neil for a week. 😂😂 Just because everyone on this thread definitely needs more Neil.

i really liked the instant dance too - it was fun chaos and also fascinating (to me anyway 🤣) to watch the pros try and choreograph in real time (and how poor carlos was at it). i’m glad it’s coming back!

George in his pimp jacket wanting that coat regardless of how impractical it was because he looked bleeping good in it.

Instant dance was great, I'm glad it's back. Claudia thrived in those sort of chaotic situations, these are the things they need to consider when choosing new presenters. Imagine Janette dealing with it 🫣

I loved it too. And it became a big moment for Bal and Julian imo. They did so well. Also George and Alexis, and THE COAT. It was very entertaining, and interesting to see who could make it work well. If memory serves me, Karen outshone Carlos.

she really did, carlos panicked and massively let her down (to my memory!) whereas julian really beautifully came into his own with how clearly he led bal. it was really interesting to watch from a pro pov to me!

Yes, Claudia absolutely thrives on chaos, and is so quick witted and funny.

Janette...

Carlos was useless, showed him up as quite a weak partner whereas Julian shone.
