So a friend of mine had started dating someone who works in and around strictly for the live shows. I’m the only one who watches the show in our friend group so he has been talking to me about some of the goings on. I asked about the drama with Giovanni and he said he didn’t really know anything about that except he thought he was a sound guy but didn’t chat with him much because he stinks of cigarettes which I thought was funny. I would have thought you wouldn’t smoke as a pro dancer but what do I know.
Then he said that wasn’t the drama of this series at all, there was real backstage drama but it wasn’t picked up by the papers. So apparently last year the producers decided to let Cameron and Michelle go as pro dancers. Cameron was really shy in front of camera and his height made him difficult to partner with celebs. They wanted Michelle the other pro with no partner to go but for different reasons. According to him she was causing trouble behind the scenes. Storming off from rehearsals and making pointed comments to other pro’s and being very rude to production staff. BBC higher ups said they could only get rid of one of them as “people on the internet” as he put it, would get mad and accuse the strictly of being racist if they let go of a black man and an Asian woman. Cameron wanted to go so they let him go and kept on Michelle. This series her behaviour was even worse, he only experienced her being incredibly rude and disrespectful to him but he said she must have done even worse because about halfway through the series she was banned from attending the live shows. He thinks she must have done something in the clauditoium and she was specifically banned from there first. He said Claudia is one of the nicest on screen talent you could work with so to fall out with her you must have had to have been particularly nasty. This guy isn’t in the dance world but when it got out she was going to be banned from even entering the strictly studios for the remainder of the series someone from that world told him it wasn’t surprising as her and her partner have that reputation.

They must not have had that much of an issue with Michelle as she did another 3 series after Cameron left and Simone had been used as an extra dancer for Blackpool since before Michelle was on the show, he danced at Blackpool last year as well. Also, I'm pretty sure they've been together the whole time she's been on Strictly so that last line about them being broken up doesn't make much sense.
The author on the original post said they meant there source broke up with the person that worked there

I think Michelle is shooting herself in the foot there. I watched the accompanying video and I will give credit where it’s due - she does come across better in that than in the article (although they cut out the interviewer actually asking her the questions and a few bits here and there from the article where it looked like she was throwing shade to the other pros) and obviously sometimes tone doesn’t come over in print how it’s intended, but this was a very ill advised interview… she’s clearly still not taking her axing that well. I mean at least she’s honest I guess and not pretending it was her own decision. But still, doesn’t make herself look great. Bringing up Robin out of nowhere was certainly a choice…

I'm pretty sure Dianne is managed by Joe's company? I don't know if any of the other pros are managed by Jason's husband. Nikita is currently working with Jason as he's choreographing and producing Nikita's tour.
I don't think Michelle is going to go scorched earth - this is a high-profile moment for her and the most scandal she can dredge up is some bickering behind the scenes.

I don't believe it. This is the only "source" I've ever seen say anything bad about Michelle. It's also untrue that Cameron wanted to leave, he was devastated to be let go as he said himself on his instagram. This would have been an amazing partnership on Strictly 
Dianne has two management teams that work together. One is Jasons husband and the other is Joe's management company who I think mainly look after the social media stuff for her. At least that was the case a few years ago, whether or not Jason's husband is still involved, I don't know. I know he also managed Kai at one point as well. Again, I don't know if he still does or not but they're the two main pros who he managed.
Exactly how can it be out of the blue when they all know they are on a year long contract which can ended or be extended around April time. They need to be prepared.
Yep, like they all know they're only contracted series by series. Like at least if someone like Karen said it, she's been asked back again and again for 14-15 years and always getting partners, you can kind of at least understand if it was more of a shock to suddenly find out she won't be returning. But Michelle ... who's been on the bench 75% of the time being shocked they might not renew her contract is just delusional, sorry.
I think that Jason Gilkison is the real power on Strictly and has a lot of influence. Vito and Dianne are safe as long as he is, as Vito has heavily hinted they will be touring next year for Burn The Floor again. That is unless Nikita is such a great success this year with Supernova that they want to go with him again. I saw RH&R. The dancing was great but I wouldn't say that Vito was the best of the male dancers. I think Robbie was amazing as was Jaih. The bio bits which took up a lot of the programme, were frankly over long and at times inaudible. The thought that any new Bio bits might include giving birth on stage is maybe offputting.
Don’t think she’s with Jason’s husbands management company anymore, in fact I’m pretty sure when she got pregnant she left, she removed it from her bio and it’s now just MVE left on there. Not long after, the management company completely disappeared off all social media so I think he’s probably folded the company.
It might be made up balls (especially anyone can go on Reddit and say anything, sure) and it certainly doesn’t reflect Michelle’s on-screen demeanour. I want to not believe it and I’d like to imagine (and I do hope) this interview is a case of somebody still hurting about the axe and making a misguided decision. I remember that Reddit post at the time and thinking it was probably a fake. Then seeing her in action with a partner back in ‘24 made me think that post was definitely a fake. But with this interview now I’m somewhat second guessing myself.
*But* at the same time, just because it’s the only source that’s ever said anything bad doesn’t mean there’s nothing to it. I didn’t see any sources that said anything bad about Graziano for example before he ended up being let go for his behaviour. Bear in mind he was originally invited back for the 2024 series too (which was after the Zara incident had happened). Just because it’s the only source that’s ever said something bad doesn’t mean anything. Because there were zero sources about Graz being bad until his eventual sacking too. He was always lovely to fans too. I’m sure if that story had circulated about Graz prior to his axing we wouldn’t have believed it either and would’ve brushed it off as a fake.
I’m not for one second implying that there’s anything as dodgy as Graziano’s behaviour there. I don’t think Michelle is dangerous in the slightest. I do think however that some of the things she says in this interview do have whiffs of some of the things mentioned in that post, especially the “pointed digs at other professionals”. I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt at first but I don’t think she’s taking her axing well. I think she’ll possibly come to regret that Sun interview or at the very least her choice of words in it. Having said that, we don’t know how long the Sun were sitting on the story or how they phrased the questions- it might have been just after the axing happened and they’ve only released it now. And they also might have been phrasing the questions to steer the answers in a certain direction. Note that the video version of the interview cuts out some of her answers to the juicier questions and has a really odd jumpy editing style so we don’t necessarily know what she’s responding to at any given moment.
