Grand so, I'm in a big old drafty house up in the hills, but the wind was whistling like a passage from the Bronte sisters 😂 need to get that mad man with Trump on his van to look at my windows. Have you seen him?

I'm in the NE and it's driving me mad. I've got a flat roof and it sounds like even that's going to fly off 🌪

Don't know why I'm getting visions of Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights when I read that 😂

I spoke too soon about the power cuts 🙄
Get out of bed to reset the alarm, get back in bed, get out of bed to reset the alarm, get back in bed …. It’s going to be one of those nights

I'm in Essex. Nothing here apart from 10 minutes of rain about 1/2 hour ago
I've still got a big window open, there's a very slight breeze but nothing dissimilar to what we would normally have in November.. for those further North .. would this be " normal " weather for you ?.
I'm London area so anything over 30 mph winds would be FREAK

Is there anyone else in either Scotland or the North East experiencing this at the moment 🙁

I live in the Seaburn area of Sunderland and I can see waves that must be 20 feet high.

It's Greta's apocalypse I tell ya 😱
I'm over the road in Eastend just been out and various gates, fences , tiles all over....2 trees have fallen onto Toward Road blocking...scary stuff! My brother just been videoing the pier down Roker...looks amazing!

I'm in Caffe Nero and a flurry of snow started to come down minutes ago.

Does anyone else remember the autumn 1987 storms? I've seen speeds of 50 MPH quoted for last night's winds. I'm sure the alleged velocities were greater thirty-four years ago.

There's a building on an industrial estate fairly local to us in Northumberland had it's side ripped off.

I can see lots of fences down and trampolines in the street. Just a bit felt off our shed roof.

The wind calmed down but seems to be picking up again

I live in a seaside town in the North East of England. Last night, there was snow here but it was too wet to settle. The cover for my electric box outside fell off so I gaffa taped it back on.
This morning I came down stairs, our garden furniture is on its side and both my gas and electricity box covers are off 🙃 I know they're outside, but I'm concerned for the meters themselves getting wet and causing damaged? What should I do? I thought gaffa solved everything 😂😭
I'm sure your meters will be fine, I've seen houses who have them with the door missing.

That's very ignorant. A red level storm is hardly a bit breezy.

The problem is that ever since Michael Fish got caught out saying there wasn't going to be a hurricane back in 1987, weather forecasters now exaggerate the potential dangers to a ridiculous degree.

The weather today in most parts of the country is not "severe", it's "seasonal". High winds and snow showers are exactly what you would expect in late November.

My neighbours greenhouse looks a bit worse for wear, and I saw a few fallen trees when I went to pick my shopping up at Doxford morrisons!
