That worksheet was ridiculous. That’s way below her level. Nobody seems to be sitting down with her and actually doing stuff. Steve’s idea of home education is giving her a worksheet she can do by herself or getting her to draw. He’s really playing down her capabilities recently. The only thing she appeared to do differently from Liam during lockdown was maths, and even then, I’m not sure how different it was she might have just had different equipment to assist her. I’d maybe feel a bit differently if he was doing the “life skills” he mentioned when he started home schooling, but none of that has happened either - well except from watching Rache make a lasagna if they’re counting that. Honestly think they’re just using autism as an excuse that she can’t do a certain level of work. I know they need to prioritise her anxiety etc but I think they’ve done that by taking her out of school, they now need to find the balance of still giving her an education and not writing her off.

It’s also getting quite ridiculous how much he keeps filming Sophie, especially in the mornings when she’s made it clear not to film her. It’s not funny. Same with filming Rache, feel sorry for her sometimes when he puts the camera on her as she’s always been clear she doesn’t like it and sometimes she looks uncomfortable with it.

I think Steve said a few days ago that they were planning to see each other in a few weeks so I'm guessing they are

The home schooling clearly isn't working. Yes, they may have removed some of her anxiety but they don't know how she would have been in a specialist school.

That school could of helped with her anxiety and she would of been given the help and support she needed whilst being in a classroom with much less children.

I honestly do not see how home schooling is going to help her. She is given worksheets designed for children that are about 6 years old and what are they doing to help her anxiety? Nothing she is cooped up in that house and the only form of social interaction she gets is walking around Tesco.

What are they going to do in September when she is supposed to be going into Year 7? Are they going to be giving her the same old worksheets!

There doing more harm than good and if they ever decide to put her back into school she is going to be so far behind, it just isn't fair on her.

I completely agree. The home schooling has been a disaster. I think they should have taken her out of school only until the start of high school this year. That would have given her a few months break and try to calm the anxiety a bit as the current situation wasn’t working. I think the special school could have helped. It would have been worth a try at least. They’re more equipped to deal with kids like Lacey. So I do wonder why they didn’t bother trying.

Did they definitely have a place in the school though? Is it possible they got refused? I’m in Scotland so it’s different I think. Viewing a school doesn’t mean you have a place. My experience was viewing schools first then putting in a request, then it goes to a panel to decide. One school said no as they couldn’t meet my son’s needs and another school said yes. I’m not sure how the process works in England.

I thought they had a place but perhaps they hadn't? The thing is the visit to the spceialist school got cancelled about three times due to covid and you could tell Steve was getting annoyed. They never even visited the school in the end they decided to home school her it's like they didn't even give it a chance.

On the other hand your right they could have been refused, maybe Lacey didn't meet the criteria.

The thing is wouldn't you atleast visit the school? Why just give up?

Why did Sophie clap in Milo's face? That really wasn't nice, you don't do that to a dog 😠

Iv mentioned this before on here regarding the school......

Lacey if offered a place at the school that would help her needs is around 20-25 mins away...... he also has to get the other kids to school in 3 different schools in town..... there is no way he would be able to get them all to school on time if Lacey went to the school.

Would the school be able to arrange transport for Lacey through the local council? My mums friends daughter was able to get to her school that way as she had a EHCP. I think they sent a taxi or minibus with other pupils on to her doorstep.

I do understand your point. It would be very difficult to get all the children to school on time and I am pretty sure Lacey would not use public transport if it was provided due to her anxiety.

However they are sacrificing their daughters education.

That school could have provided her with the education and support she really needs and if they are not willing to try a specialist school then they need to step up with the home schooling.

They sit there talking about how her other school didn't support her needs but they aren't either.

Aren’t any of the schools a walkable distance away? I’m sure Sophie has walked home before. Would Liam be going to the school she goes to in September? I would have thought there would possibly be transport offered (taxi, minibus) for Lacey if she we’re going to a specialised school.

Usually transport is provided for special needs placements for that very reason. I only have 1 child but his school was 45 mins away and he had a taxi and an escort.

Is Millie a rescue dog? Always wondered why she’s got such bad seperation anxiety when Holly was fine. Then again each dog is different.

I think they got her as a puppy during lockdown and have been shielding so she’s never been away from them. :)

She is probably like that because she is never left on her own. I highly doubt she is walked as well so she would have had no socialisation with other people of dogs. It's a shame really.

For some very weird reason this family like to gets dogs and not bother to walk them!

When they go away on holiday they leave the dogs in kennels and expect them to cope. In the last vlog Sophie was laughing on her phone to her friend about Scruff nearly got her hamster, Sophie was also caught on camera clapping her hands in front of Milo's face for no reason, its disgusting how they treat the pets
