We went to Chinatown for breakfast, and all they had was Chinese food!

I enjoy his content on the whole…but was v frustrated when he said he couldn’t find anywhere for breakfast! I’ve been to Paddy’s market in Sydney…there’s a food court next door that has plenty of options!

Yes, the customer service of Jet2 wasn't great, but they did get their room sorted the next day once they had a chance to speak to the manager. They were the last people to check in at 11pm, so to be fair, I think the guy at reception did his best until it was sorted in the morning. As my husband pointed out, Jet2 are pretty much a glorified travel agency, and as Steve himself says later in the video, the hotel they stayed as was more geared towards Tui customers (another travel agent; part of Thomson group).

Many moons ago, I went to Portinatx as a 6-year-old with my mum and dad. It is definitely the spot to go to get away from the rowdier side of the island in the south. I remember the bus forgot about us when we went on a tour and we had to walk all the way back to the hotel! It was also much colder than we were expecting in October.

Side note: is Alijcia (sorry if I've spelled her name incorrectly) studying on an online course for something? I feel like that's been mentioned a few times.

I’m surprised that the number of ads is even a talking point because who is even sitting through endless ads in 2025? It’s unbearable. I would assume many people (under a certain age at least) who are big YouTube fans are either using ad blockers or paying for YouTube premium or using third party apps to dodge ads. And the creators know this, that a good % of views don’t actually translate into revenue if the ads aren’t viewed. So again, they seek income from other places as well.

I haven't seen any videos with the teddies, but that does sound odd, especially as she hasn't done it before (or he hasn't shown it at least!)

Rewatching some of his old vids a wee while back and (I can't remember specifics) but there were so many where he said 'I'll need to come back here', places he was maybe passing through and wasn't able to properly see, and he's never been back to any of them. He's as bad as Scott from Planes, Trains, Everything for saying that. Half the time it's not even far away places as well. When it's your full time job, surely it'd be easy to do?

I'm only getting round to watching the Paris Day trip video now.

They could have at least got the Air France Edi to CDG flight there? A bit more expensive but easier than trying to get into Paris or Marne-la-Vallée Chessy (that's where Disneyland Paris is) from Beauvais. I've just heard they're getting that flight back in the evening as I'm typing this, so that might have been better for going out too?

It's a shame Alijia couldn't find the toilets or go in the museum! I agree it would have been a better vlog if Alijia went to DLP and Steve had gone to Paris.

My hubby and I went to DLP and he got pick pocketed on the train coming from Paris. They only got his vape and comb but still that could’ve been Alijia.

This happened to me while I was hopping on the Paris Metro a few years ago. The guy said 'sorry', stuck his hand in my pocket and swiftly took it out again as it only contained my inhaler (had all my stuff stashed away). It could have been a lot worse, and the guy left my inhaler, which was decent of him!

We were fine as a family on our recent trip to DLP but didn't go into actual Paris at all during our stay! I adore Paris and DLP but I would love to see another part of France someday.

I've watched a few of his videos they are interesting but he comes across as very stingy.
I'm sure he said in the Lodge video that she's worth it (£300 per night) but it was gifted?
Also I don't want to see them in the hot tub together

I think the hurtigurten trip is the first gifted one (he mentions this at the start of the video)…looked interesting but just about spilled a full cup of tea when he said that one of the excursions was £250 each!! Looked a stunning cruise though x

I’ve done this cruise, albeit via Havila not Hurtigruten. It is, indeed, stunning. It’s also hideously expensive.

I used to like him and actually paid for Patreon but when I found out her age, I cancelled. Just doesn’t sit right with me. They’ve been together since before Covid so she was in her early to mid twenties and he was pushing 50.

I've always appreciated his 'cheap flight on budget airline to not-the-obvious European destination for a couple of days exploring' videos. A while back on here some posters were wishing he'd go further afield. Now there's complaints that he's risen above his station.

I love seeing all the food that's served on the QM2. I'm definitely living vicariously through Steve and Alicja.

In the video he was trying to get a crime reference number which would be for his insurance, however in his new video he said he only filmed it to make more money due to the theft. Total grifter. Cannot believe the amount of people gifting him money.
