He has featured videos of places near where I live, and I've found his reports to be quite accurate. Therefore I trusted his judgement when I recently went to a place that he'd featured, and I felt his recommendations were spot on. I like Alicja too - she seems to be so good-humoured, and up for any challenge. I haven't ever really noticed the big age gap between them. They seem to be happy and the main attraction of his - and Scott's 'Planes Trains and Everything' travel vlogs is that they do things on the cheap, and um....that suits my budget too!

I mean like he's cute. I think his content and style is endearing and authentic. He is old, but there are much more problematic age gap relationships. They met as adults and he doesn't portray a distorted power dynamic in the relationship within his videos (obviously we don't truly know what their relationship is like). I agree a lot of the time men seeking out younger women are creeps but sometimes you just meet the right person and there's an age gap. He doesn't venture very far. Never went to Thailand, Dubai, South America and so on. They places must be out his comfort zone. I think he prefers a colder climate too. I think Canada's the furthest he's been. Beautiful country but I would prefer seeing him out his comfort zone in a market in Nepal.
Steve has build his channel by going to places that are easy for his followers to do in a small time frame & cost.
It's not about "comfort zone " It's the cost , the time he would need to plan such trip the flights, hotels, travel insurance etc.
