I feel like she’s having a bit of reality check with Ada at the moment, having to go against her own advice and let her just eat what she wants, hopefully she will start to relax when she realises her children are just fine without the odd meals.

I do hope Ada is feeling better soon as it sounds like her poor mouth is so sore.

I think I’ll stick with giving mine a slice of toast or a crumpet!!!

(Don’t get me started on the ‘is it ok to east Rice Krispies every day’ post. Of course it is!!! They won’t kill you!!!!)

This should be a wake up call about her very clear issues around food. It really doesn’t matter if Ada didn’t eat her dinner, nothing terrible is going to happen and it was ice cream not crack cocaine. The fact that her mum called afterwards to apologise is actually quite shocking tbh, poor woman did her a favour.
She could do with some kind of therapy to address her issues around food and honestly with her issues she shouldn’t be giving o it advice to other parents because this kind of thing is not normal.

called it on her mentioning balanced. Howling that she says not to restrict it when you know there is no way she would let Ada and Raffy have unrestricted chocolate, she is way too uptight to do that.

The comments made me smile though, all the parents who are saying how their baby/toddler prefers fruit to chocolate anyway Just give it a few years huns and I’m sure your child will enjoy chocolate like most other children.

Don’t get me wrong, I am 100% up for ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ and a lot of my children’s toys are second hand or whatever but to wrap up a sibling’s old toys for the younger child’s birthday??? Is that not shockingly mean?? And giving her a toothbrush?? I just find it a bit bizarre

So glad you thought the same. A toothbrush subscription, swimming costume and a hairbrush!! Does this mean Ada not been allowed to play with the instruments until now? Very odd
There are plenty of ways you can shop sustainably, so many amazing toy companies out there that she could have bought some bits from so Ada could have something of her own. Tbh even things like Duplo are great because it is so hard wearing it lasts forever so can be passed on and they could have got some second hand. The issue is more with rubbishy plastic toys that end up in landfill.

I bet that nursery can’t stand her. So they have a bit of chocolate cake so what?! It will probably be home made so they can limit the amount of sugar that goes in to it. That poor child is going to grow up with so many issues around food

So her conversation with Ada whilst she was eating her breakfast was how she had woke them up too early and how much mess she was making eating her breakfast

She’s basically still a baby and doing such a good job feeding herself yet she has to interfere and tell her to use a different spoon !
I think she is a control freak and can’t understand why she can’t control Ada !

I feel like you are spot on, she is very controlling. Raffy like many first borns was an easy baby and she thought she had it sussed but Ada is totally different and she doesn’t know how to handle it.
I hate how she always has to interfere with Ada eating, messing with her spoon, pointing out any mess, constantly filming her and getting her to perform for the camera by saying what she is eating, just let her concentrate on her meal fgs.

That video of Ada in the car seat made me sad. 1)she shouldn't be in that thick coat and 2) she didn't have a clue that the girl was saying.... And what she was translating it to clearly wasn't what she said. She needs to put the camera down and actually listen to her daughter.
Also she said she had grapes and she's like oh you can't have grapes everyday.... Tell that to the nursery not your daughter who is telling you about their day

You can hear the shutter going off on a professional camera. Not exactly a relaxed environment for a child to be taking their first steps into solid food.

Does anyone else think her & Joe have gone their separate ways? Joe never updates the Wean in 15 account anymore apart from when he wants to push his Body Coach plan. He seems to have abandoned it since Marley didn’t follow the plan. Ada weaning would have been the perfect time to fire up the Wean account again as she was helping with that account until she went on maternity leave. I think Charlotte has realised how much money she can make going it alone and thats why she’s decided to do Wean Along with Ada. It wouldn’t surprise me if the professional photography set up was for her own book.

My autistic child has either jam on white bread toast or Nutella on porridge every single day for breakfast. 365 days a year.

She really doesn't have a clue about how to deal with *truly* fussy children. Most people don't. They think all you have to do is blend up veg in sauces.
