I've just read on another thread that there are more riots planned for tonight. I truly hope that doesn't happen.

I think i saw that on Tik tok too.
I understand people are angry and I understand why. But I just don’t agree with rioting for any cause. I don’t think thats helping anything. But I also don’t think the Prime minister standing up and saying people that are angry are far right. Not all of them are. He is completely disregarding many ordinary people’s views. It’s also making things worse as he didn’t stand up and make a Speech about the Manchester airport incident and the riots that followed, he didn’t make a speech about the Leeds riots to my knowledge although I am happy to be corrected. Its a two tier approach and quite rightly people are getting fed up.

Unfortunately a lot of racist thugs are using this as an excuse to have a barmy and I don’t condemn that in the slightest. Throwing bricks at police? Injuring police dogs? You are rum If you do that for any cause.

Apologies as I thought I was using the correct terminology. I was trying to not be offensive in that aspect which is why I said person of colour and not black but if I have ducked up then I am sorry. I’m not trying to be contentious on this thread and do actually like having conversations with people I disagree with and I have tried to be respectful so it wasn’t my intention to use the wrong terminology here btw.

Speaking from NI here. You defo need to borrow some of our water cannons but rubber bullets don’t have the best reputation long term!

I only know of the rubber bullets from the 2011 riots, I don’t know much about them and wasn’t sure if they were still in use.

Water cannons however, 100% needed.
