He picked an event that would be female focused. He got a taxi there from another area - he knew the time and location. Incels do not like Taylor Swift as she promotes female empowerment. Like the Australia incident the only male injured was protecting the women and little girls here. I’ll hold full judgement until we get more evidence but it’s what seems the most likely motive.

I think the riots would still have happened because some other excuse would have been found to cause mayhem. It’s nice weather, days are light for longer and there are lots of bored, dissatisfied, disgruntled people around.

Thing with Robinson is however he started out with this stuff, which may be idealistically to some degree, two decades down the road it is now a very well-funded BUSINESS for him. Which of course leads to more money as he's seen as suffering for his beliefs. Doubtless this latest outbreak of idiocy has brought in more cash than he's seen in a while.
The guy was and likely still is funded to the tune of 100k a year by the Robert Shillman Foundation (a US think tank run by a tech billionaire who funds all sorts of right wing figures and causes) and the MEF (Middle East Forum), another US-based think tank. Also gets donations from followers, and has apparently misused them on gambling etc. Had multiple properties at one stage, albeit put in his wife's name. Now he lives in Tenerife, which has a massive housing crisis and ulta high housing prices. So we can assume he's really not short of a dollar, no matter how he portrays himself.
It's funny, there's an oligarch behind all the professional activists these days. Even the ones whose followers despise the technocracy and oligarch class: see Republican VP nominee JD Vance, the sockpuppet of bleeping Peter Thiel, tech billionaire and gay misogynist extreme (says women and democracy are incompatible). Talks to Trump's fanbase about hating the evil tech oligarchs while actively working for and being funded by one of the biggest. Jokes on them, obviously.

It reminds me of the Ikeda kindergarten mass murder in Japan in 2001 too. I worked in the country at the time and recall the shock and outrage and the sudden fitting of security doors in all schools later. A disgruntled 30-omething male employee with a lifelong history of crime entered the kindergarten and stabbed eight kids to death, seven of them girls. One boy, an older one, but he focused on the girls. The perpetrator was hanged in rather record time for Japan - two years - when often death row prisoners languish there for decades.
I do tend to think men who do mass murders always, always look for the softest targets by nature. They want to feel powerful so they never focus on anyone remotely able to fight back. it's always kids, women, old people, the unarmed etc. There may well be an element of misogyny in a lot of these crimes too.
I read something on reddit today - someone who knew Axel's brother and knew him vaguely - said he was odd and stayed indoors a lot. Went to school in Formby. Also said he had a fixation on the Rwandan Genocide and thought Britain 'needed' similar. This may all be bull on the poster's part but it wasn't presented in a sensationalistic manner. Obviously, people in the area will know him and his family. It may be that was the bloody motivation, some insane fixation on his own family's trauma. Whatever, he needs locking up for the rest of his rotten life.

Yes. He will doubtless have bought a golden visa - a common way to get legal residence in various southern European countries regardless of EU status. Any foreigner with enough dosh can do it. Spain has similar (or had, think they may be winding it up soon), Malta too. You invest mid six figures in property or the economy in some way (put money into a local business), they let you legally reside there. Malta just sells the uber rich the whole bleeping passport. Lots of dodgy Russians with Maltese nationality now!

I find this so insensitive. He murdered primary school girls as a strapping 17 (nearly 18) year old - but they are circulating images of him as a primary school boy.
I don’t recall them ever doing this before with people who have committed the most atrocious crimes.

Certainly doesn't get my sympathy. Everyone was a little child once - Josef Stalin, Hitler, Peter Sutcliffe, Jimmy Saville, ted Bundy. Means duck all when they turn into a vicious waste of skin and oxygen who does nothing but cause harm to people.
